Promoting the comprehensive development of students is the guiding ideology of educational reform,the consensus pursued by education in the new era,and the direction for future education.Implementing the new requirements of the new curriculum standards,realizing the transformation of ideological and political education teaching towards cultivating core competencies in the discipline,meeting the individual and comprehensive development needs of different students under the class teaching system,and actively exploring teaching methods that combine knowledge growth and ability enhancement are important tasks for every ideological and political teacher’s career.The application of hierarchical teaching method implements the modern concept of quality education,fully respecting the innovative thinking of students’ personalized differences within the framework of class teaching,utilizing hierarchical and targeted educational ideas,emphasizing the teaching method of "paying attention to differences,implicit classification,teaching according to students,gradually progressing through layers,and comprehensive development".Applying this teaching method to high school ideological and political subjects can not only explore a hierarchical teaching plan to cultivate students’ core competencies in the subject,but also provide reference value for improving the teaching efficiency of high school ideological and political courses,achieve the "optimization" of promoting educational effects,and promote the implementation of the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating talents.This article mainly introduces the basic content of the layered teaching method,and analyzes and applies it in conjunction with the compulsory four "Philosophy and Culture" modules in the textbooks compiled by the high school ideological and political department.On the basis of previous research by scholars,this article elaborates on the relevant concepts of hierarchical teaching method in high school ideological and political courses,and combines the disciplinary characteristics of ideological and political courses that combine knowledge teaching and ability cultivation.It analyzes the four basic principles and three major theoretical supports of this teaching method in practice,demonstrating that the application of hierarchical teaching method not only conforms to the psychological characteristics of high school students’ growth,but also highlights their subjectivity,Cultivate students’ core academic literacy.Based on a questionnaire survey and on-site observations conducted by teachers and students,the current situation of the application of hierarchical teaching method in high school ideological and political courses was studied.After investigation,it was found that the application of hierarchical teaching method in high school ideological and political courses has problems such as insufficient teacher cognition,imperfect teaching design,unreasonable hierarchical organization,and imperfect evaluation standards.The specific reasons for these problems include weak concept of hierarchical application,lack of professional ability and literacy Insufficient guidance in classroom teaching and lagging teaching evaluation concepts.In response to the existing problems and reasons,specific measures are proposed to improve the application of hierarchical teaching method in high school ideological and political courses from four dimensions: enhancing teacher awareness,improving teaching design,improving implementation ability,and improving evaluation system.The topic of "Value Creation and Implementation" in the "Philosophy and Culture" module is used as a typical teaching example to demonstrate the practical application of hierarchical teaching method in high school ideological and political courses.
