| At present, the state has issued policies to encourage the development of modernization and large-scale agriculture. However, the process of promoting the development of modern agriculture in the vast rural areas is relatively slow. The reason is mainly restricted by the labor resources and farmland resources in rural areas. At present, due to the limitation of resource endowment in rural areas,a large number of male and female labor forces shift to cities to engage in non-agricultural industries. The transfer of rural labor force to urban industries is bound to have an impact on the farmland market.Under the long-term social structure of “male foreign and female domestic” in the vast rural areas of China, the female labor force is generally responsible for managing farmland after male non-agricultural employment. As women workers shift to cities,non-farm payrolls may have a higher impact on families moving out of farmland than on men.In this case,it may be more meaningful to explore the impact of rural female labor force employment on the development of modern agriculture and to achieve the goal of rural revitalization.Based on this, this study introduces the concept of non-agricultural employment quality covering non-agricultural employment income,non-agricultural employment social security,non-agricultural employment time,non-agricultural employment stability and non-agricultural employment promotion opportunities,to explore the impact of non-agricultural employment quality of rural female labor force on farmers’ farmland transfer behavior.First, this thesis first combed the literature on macro influence of farmland transfer factors, rural household female labor force non-agricultural employment,non-agricultural farm employment and farmland transfer, and then proposed the six research hypothesis of this study from labor loss effect and income effect through three theories: peasant household rational hypothesis and income effect and substitution effect.Second, this study used data from CFPS2014,2016,and 2018 to estimate using binary and IV-Probit models, while performing regional heterogeneity analysis and theoretical mechanism testing using OLS.The study results show that the:(1)Farmers will pay more attention to the quality of the employment of the female labor force.Meanwhile, the income,non-farm employment social security,non-agricultural employment time and stability will have significant positive influence on the transfer behavior of farmers, without the promotion opportunities of rural female labor;(2)The influence of non-agricultural employment quality on the transfer of farmers and the level of regional economic development have a certain correlation.Due to the differences in the economic development level between the eastern, central and northeastern regions and the western regions, the influence of the non-agricultural employment quality of rural female labor force on the farmers’ farmland transfer behavior is also different;(3)The influence of the quality of non-agricultural employment of rural female labor force on the transfer of farmland is different;(4)The quality of non-agricultural employment of rural female labor force promotes farmers to transfer out of agricultural land is the result of the combined effect of labor loss effect, income effect and substitution effect.Based on the above research conclusions, this article proposes the following two recommendations:In the first place, the government should actively improve the non-agricultural employment system of rural female labor force, and enterprises should improve the non-agricultural employment environment of rural female labor force; In another, improving the social security for the farmland transfer market and the subjects of farmland transfer. |
