| In the context of globalization,cross-cultural exchanges have affected all aspects of people’s lives.The 2017’s edition of the high school Chinese curriculum standard for the first time proposed the task group of "cross-cultural thematic seminars",which aims to help students absorb the essence of human thoughts,open mind and enhance cultural understanding through studying foreign literary classics.Based on the current problems in the teaching of Chinese and foreign literature in high schools,the thesis takes the cross-cultural perspective as the starting point and draw on the existing theoretical basis,to analyze the teaching status and propose corresponding teaching strategies,help students establish a global open vision,further deepen their understanding of Western culture in cross-cultural discussion,and enhance their recognition of China’s excellent culture.This paper mainly expands from the following chapters:The foreword introduces the source of topic selection,research status and significance.The first chapter is a description of cross-cultural concepts and pedagogical theoretical foundations,which is based on the dimension of "what" to explain,sorts out the relevant theoretical background,and determines the definition of the term "intercultural" in this article.The second chapter starts from the actual teaching situation,investigates the current situation of teaching Chinese and foreign literary works in high schools through questionnaires,and analyzes the specific reasons for the current problems in teaching.Chapter 3 focuses on the overall grasp of cross-cultural teaching,formulates clear cross-cultural teaching goals according to curriculum standards,clarifies the "why" of cross-cultural teaching,and advocates thinking first and knowledge reserve.The fourth chapter explores cross-cultural teaching strategies.Firstly,it emphasizes thinking first and guides students to participate in multi-sensory learning while advocating diversified teaching forms.Secondly,the cross-culture discussion is carried out through the comparison of similar genres,characters and themes in combination with the teaching materials,so as to improve students’ cross-cultural thinking ability.Finally,grasps the characteristics of experience,reflection and interaction in cross-cultural teaching,Define "how" teachers are supposed to teach.The fifth chapter presents examples of cross-cultural teaching,which provides reference for the implementation of cross-cultural teaching.The first section focuses on the "humanitarian spirit" and compares the "Resurrection" with "Les Miserables";The second section chooses extracurricular resources "The Ordinary World" and "The Great Gatsby" to compare "dream".Starting from the teaching materials,the object of cross-cultural discussion should be expanded to extracurricular activities to break through the limitations of current teaching materials.This paper makes an in-depth discussion on the teaching of foreign literary works from the cross-cultural perspective,based on the historical and cultural background of the work’s native country,so as to accurately grasp the spirit to be expressed.At the same time,students should be guided to treat foreign literary works with a dialectical and objective perspective and establish cultural confidence under the organic integration of Chinese and foreign literature.In order to provide a deep discussion for the teaching of foreign literary works. |
