The reform and development of college physical education curriculum design is an important measure to promote scientific college physical education and healthy growth of students. This study takes the application of OBE concept in basketball general course teaching of Physical Education College of Qinghai University as the research object. The students in two classes of Physical Education College of Qinghai University were taken as teaching experiment objects, and the two classes were divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group adopted OBE teaching mode, while the control group adopted traditional teaching mode.Through the teaching experiment research, comparing the basketball general course teaching in Physical Education College of Qinghai University, the teaching effect of basketball general course based on OBE concept is better than the traditional basketball class teaching.Compared with the traditional teaching mode, the teaching mode under the concept of OBE can enhance the physical quality of students, improve the technical level of students, improve the attitude of physical exercise, and increase the degree of satisfaction of students to classroom teaching. In this paper, literature, questionnaire, experiment, mathematical statistics and logic analysis are used to study.Through the literature data method, the literature data are analyzed, summarized and sorted out,and the latest research trends and academic frontier trends are studied in detail, which finally provides strong theoretical support for this paper. The data data are as follows: The students in the experimental class and the control class are measured in the aspect of sports attitude and basketball course satisfaction through the questionnaire survey: The experimental research on basketball teaching was carried out through the experimental method, and the differences between the experimental group and the control group were compared and analyzed in terms of physical fitness, basketball skills, attitude towards physical exercise and satisfaction with basketball courses.Mathematical statistics were used to test the differences of the experimental research results, and the differences between the two teaching modes were compared and analyzed: The results of experimental research are analyzed and discussed by logical analysis method in combination with OBE concept, principle, purpose and method. After the end of the experiment, the following results are obtained: 1.Basketball general course teaching under the concept of OBE has significant differences with traditional basketball class in improving students’ physical quality;2.Basketball general course teaching under the OBE concept has significant differences with traditional basketball classroom teaching in improving students’ basketball skills;3.Basketball general course teaching under the OBE concept has significant differences with traditional basketball classroom teaching in students’ attitude towards physical exercise;4.The general course teaching of basketball under the concept of OBE is very effective in improving students’ satisfaction in basketball class. The study reached the following conclusions: Basketball teaching based on OBE concept can improve students’ physical fitness, basketball skill level, physical exercise attitude and basketball class satisfaction, and its teaching experiment effect is better than that of traditional basketball teaching mode.Although OBE teaching mode is better than traditional basketball teaching in teaching effect,it does not mean that it can replace traditional basketball teaching.OBE teaching mode should be deeply integrated on the basis of the current traditional physical education mode, taking its essence and discarding its dross.
