Good mental health literacy of teachers is the key to ensure the smooth development of teaching work.Under the background of global teacher education reform pursuing excellence development,more and more attention has been paid to the physical and mental health of high school excellent teachers.To construct the index system of mental health literacy of excellent middle school physical education teachers not only complies with the demand of the reform of middle school physical education curriculum,but also meets the demand of individual physical education teachers’ pursuit of excellence development.It is of a certain practical significance to promote the construction of high quality physical education teachers.In this paper,literature analysis,expert investigation,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics and other research methods are used to construct the index system of mental health literacy of excellent physical education teachers in middle school,select excellent physical education teachers in middle school as the research object,and investigate the current situation of mental health literacy of excellent physical education teachers in middle school.The aim of this study is to provide theoretical guidance for improving the mental health quality of excellent PE teachers in middle schools.The results are as follows:(1)Clarify the operational definition of mental health literacy of excellent physical education teachers in middle schools.Mental health literacy of high school excellent physical education teachers is a comprehensive ability to maintain and promote good mental health of themselves and others by using professional mental health knowledge and skills and active mental health attitude.(2)The index system of mental health literacy of excellent physical education teachers in middle schools is constructed.Mental health cognition,mental health attitude,mental health emotion and mental health ability are the first level indicators.Mental health cognition includes professional mental health knowledge,professional identity of physical education teachers and teaching concept of physical education teachers.Mental health attitudes include positive coping,eliminating stigma of mental illness,help-seeking effectiveness and self-development;Mental health emotions include noble moral,love and dedication,interpersonal harmony,etc.;Mental health competencies include recognition,prevention,emotional regulation,and professional excellence.(3)Based on the index system,the evaluation questionnaire is prepared for application research.The data show that the questionnaire has good reliability and validity,and can be used to analyze the current situation of excellent physical education teachers in middle schools.The results show that:(1)The mental health quality of excellent physical education teachers in middle schools tends to be good,but there are deficiencies in mental health attitude;(2)There is a significant difference in the mental health attitude of the outstanding physical education teachers of different genders;(3)The scores of high school excellent physical education teachers with different educational backgrounds were significantly different in terms of mental health cognition.The higher the educational background of individual teachers,the higher the level of mental health cognition and mental health literacy;The educational background is positively correlated with the level of teachers’ mental health literacy.(4)There was no significant difference in mental health literacy among teachers of different ages,but they showed certain age characteristics.According to the research results of this paper,the following suggestions are made::Strengthen the mental health education of excellent physical education teachers in middle schools and carry out mental health training regularly;(2)Increase policy support and improve the multi-cooperation guarantee mechanism;(3)Improve the professional sense of belonging of high school excellent physical education teachers,optimize the working environment.
