In recent years, the Party and the government have deepened the understanding of the theoretical connotation and practical law of "social governance",seeking to build an open social governance pattern with modern spirit.Under the guidance of this strategy, professional social work has obtained legal identity recognition at the level of top-level system design, paving a legal way for social work to participate in community governance. However, the professional role of social work in the context of community governance cannot be fully played, and it is generally faced with the problem of limited professional autonomy. Most of the existing researches on the topic of professional autonomy follow the logic of planar subject analysis, but do not pay much attention to the structural and subjective elements of the community governance field itself. Therefore, this study explores professional autonomy of social work in the context of community governance from the perspective of "interactive field".Based on the reasonable components of the absorption field theory and ecological theory, this study constructs a perspective of interactive field in which the power structure, relationship network and the habitus of the subject are interrelated and interconnected. It is also connected with the three dimensions of professional jurisdiction, professional boundary and professional knowledge contained in Andrew Abbott’s thought of professional autonomy,so as to analyze the expression form of professional autonomy of social work in the interactive field of community governance and the specific representation of autonomy dilemma. On this basis, the corresponding action path to strengthen professional autonomy is put forward. Therefore,on the basis of reasonable components of absorption field theory and ecological theory, this study constructs a perspective of interactive field in which power structure, relationship network and subject habitus are interrelated and interconnected. This study adopts the method of qualitative research.X District of Wuxi City is taken as the research object, and uses textual analysis,semi-structured interviews and participant observation to collect qualitative data and sorted and analyzed in the form of three-level coding. Finally, the following conclusions are drawn: First of all,the professional jurisdiction of social work is deeply affected by the hierarchical system, project system, resource distribution pattern, forming the limitation, restriction and dependent jurisdiction;Secondly, the unclear boundary of social work is mainly reflected in three dimensions: the vagueness of organizational system, the confusion of service operation and the diversity of subjective experience.Thirdly, the production of social work professional knowledge is not smooth mainly because the existing knowledge system presents Western-centered characteristics, the updated knowledge system has the orientation of administrative integration and the development of practical knowledge is relatively backward. Finally, this study proposes action paths to promote the strengthening of professional autonomy in social work from the aspects of power transfer, boundary reshaping and knowledge regeneration.
