| Inrecentyears, thephenomenonofmoralhypocrisyhaswidely appeared inthesocialfield ofvision, causing heated discussions.Psychologists believe thathypocrisy includes two levels.Firstly, personalhypocrisymanifestsinthe "inconsistencyofknowledgeand action" ofdeclaringmoralbehaviortothepublicbutnotfulfillingmoral obligations;Secondly, interpersonalhypocrisyismanifested inthe dualmanifestation of moralstandards that are "stricter than disciplining othersand lenientthan disciplining oneself",thatis, requiring others to fulfillmoralobligations with stricter moral standards compared to oneself. In order to reduce this moral phenomenonandestablishacorrectmoralperspectiveforteenagers, thisstudytakesvocationalcollegestudentsasthetestgroup, starting from traditional Chinesevalues, andexploresthemoralstructurefrom theperspectiveof Chineseculture-theinfluenceofconscienceon moralhypocrisyand itsmechanism ofaction.Secondly, previous studies have found thata sense ofpowerreduces individuals’ emotionalrecognitionofothersandpromotestheoccurrenceofmoral hypocrisy. In addition, socialexclusion in socialrelationswillalso increasethepsychologicaldistancebetweenindividualsandgroups andreduceprosocialbehavior, whilesocialinclusioncanincreaseinter group trust, narrow tieswithothers, and affectmoraljudgments. However, inthefieldofmoralhypocrisy, thereisstillalackofresearch onsocialrelationsandpower. Therefore, furtherexplorationisneeded todeterminewhetherthetwohaveanimpactontherelationship betweenconscienceandmoralhypocrisy.Thisstudyconductedthreestudiesandsixexperiments.Firstly,Study 1 explored the impact of conscience on personaland interpersonalhypocrisythroughtwoparadigmsofdonationandmoral situationaljudgment;Basedontheabovetwoexperiments,Study2 incorporatespowerasapotentialmoderatingvariabletoexplorethe role ofpowerin the relationship between conscience, personal hypocrisy, andinterpersonalhypocrisy.Studythreeisalsobasedon twomoralhypocrisyexperiments, usingthenetworkpassingparadigm tointroducesocialrelationshipsandverifythemoderatingeffectof socialrelationships.Theresearchresultsfoundthat:(1)Conscienceinfluencesmoralhypocrisy.Comparedtothelow consciencegroup, thesubjectsinthehighconsciencegroupshowed less moralhypocrisy.Conscience predicts moralhypocrisy in a negativedirection.(2)Powerplaysamoderatingroleintheinfluenceofconscience onmoralhypocrisy.Senseofpowerandsharedconscienceaffected bymoralhypocrisy, subjectswithhighpowerandlowconscienceare morelikelytoexhibitmoralhypocrisy.(3)Theinfluenceofsocialrelationsregulating conscienceon moralhypocrisy.Socialacceptance has not suppressed moral hypocrisy.Socialexclusionpromotesmoralhypocrisy, andsubjectsin asocialexclusionenvironmentaremorelikelytoengageinmoral hypocrisy.Socialrelationsand conscience jointly influence moral hypocrisy, and subjects with low levels ofsocialexclusion and consciencearemorelikelytoengageinmoralhypocrisy. |
