Primary school children have a preliminary sense of self,is a rapid period of physical and psychological development,children in the physical quality,behavior habits,self-awareness and personality characteristics of the critical period,but also the most plastic stage.During this period,if children can be correctly guided and educated,it will lay a good foundation and start for their future study and life,so as to enter a virtuous cycle.With the rapid economic development and accelerated pace of life,the mental health problems of primary school students become more prominent.According to the Healthy China Action(2019-2030)document,a number of measures have been put forward to promote the health of primary and middle school students.Therefore,for the mental health problems of primary school students,prevention should be emphasized,and effective intervention measures should be taken to popularize health knowledge and create a healthy environment.Use mental health education to protect students’ healthy growth.Examples at home and abroad have proved that the use of nonverbal art therapy can effectively help students vent emotions and relieve psychological problems.Therefore,the integration of art therapy into primary school art classes can not only reflect the requirements of the new curriculum standard,enrich school education,but also the trend of the new era,which has important theoretical value and practical significance.This paper mainly studies the feasibility and effectiveness of integrating art therapy into primary school art classes,and designs the content of the textbooks as curriculum activities with the nature of art therapy in combination with the current art textbooks.According to the characteristics of art education in my school,the author designs two practical ways of integrating art therapy into art classes in primary schools.One is group practice in combination with the regular art classes in the current Hunan Edition of art textbooks;the other is individual practice in extracurricular art curriculum activities.The fourth grade students are investigated and interviewed by combining with the data of MHT psychological scale.Finally,a class in grade four and a student in the class were selected for art therapy course practice.The above methods aim to summarize the feasibility of introducing art therapy into primary school art class through group practice and individual practice,so that art therapy can be effectively applied into classroom teaching and make some contributions to the healthy development of students and the richness of art education.Therefore,through professional theory and a lot of practice,this paper summarizes and integrates the feasibility and effectiveness of art therapy into primary school art classroom.Art therapy can help students explore and perceive their inner emotions in the process of non-verbal creation,promote students to release pressure,relieve body and mind and improve interpersonal relationship,and ultimately improve students’ mental health level.At the same time,more relevant scholars are encouraged to study other feasibility of art therapy into primary art education,and then explore new directions and paths.
