Research On The Impact Of Media Education On Media Literacy Of Adolescents

The media culture has integrated communication and culture into a dynamic process that involves every individual.Living in the rituals and spectacles created by the media culture,people must "learn to survive." The media society provides tools and channels to understand the world,and the ability to use media also determines the level and ability of individuals to adapt to social survival.As the first stage of human cognition and concept,the media education of teenagers becomes more and more important and urgent.Taking the media literacy education activities and participants conducted by Shanghai Education Press Headquarters as the research object,the author studies on the influence mechanism of media literacy education on teenagers’ media literacy through both qualitative and quantitative methods.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance of media literacy and its education,and lays the foundation for the construction of the scale and research path through literature collation.In Chapter two,through interviews and literature review,the author summarizes four dimensions of media literacy education factors and four dimensions of media literacy scale and puts forward five hypotheses for the two.The third chapter summarizes five characteristics of youth media literacy through data analysis.The fourth chapter is the hypothesis verification of the research results.The fifth chapter analyzes the hypothesis results again based on the interview data to improve the specific factors affecting the mechanism.The research and analysis show that the participation time,the rich level of media education resources and the participation degree of media education can effectively improve the media literacy ability of teenagers,while the professionalism of media literacy education has no significant effect on the improvement of media literacy.News professionalism plays an intermediary role in the relationship between media literacy and media literacy education.In addition,media literacy education can also improve the individual’s political literacy,aesthetic literacy and other comprehensive abilities,which is beneficial to the physical and mental development of teenagers.
