In recent years, with the impact of economic crises, anti globalization, and turbulence in the foreign trade environment, urban economies have faced unprecedented challenges. How to enhance the economic resilience of cities,in order to better cope with various impacts, break the lock in urban development paths, reach a new equilibrium state, and achieve innovative development, has become a focus issue of concern for academia and the government. As the most active production factor, the high mobility and agglomeration of technological talents are of great significance for enhancing the resilience of urban economy.Therefore,in-depth research on the impact mechanism of scientific and technological talent agglomeration on urban economic resilience and systematic analysis have important practical significance for improving China’s scientific and technological talent management mechanism, improving urban economic resilience and promoting high-quality development of urban economy. This article first reviews the relevant research and theoretical basis of technology talent agglomeration and urban economic resilience, sorts out the impact mechanism of technology talent agglomeration on urban economic resilience, and extends the exploration of spatial spillover mechanism.Secondly, based on the panel data of 284 cities at prefecture level and above in China from 2008 to 2019,combined with the connotation of urban economic resilience, quantitative indicators were selected to build a comprehensive evaluation index system of urban economic resilience, and entropy weight method was used to measure and analyze urban economic resilience in China. In the empirical analysis section, this article uses a panel bidirectional fixed effects model to study the impact of technological talent agglomeration on urban economic resilience, and further selects a spatial econometric model to test the spatial spillover effect of technological talent agglomeration on urban economic resilience.Research has found that:(1)there is a significant regional imbalance in the development of urban economic resilience in China, with the level of urban economic resilience in the eastern region generally higher than that in the central and western regions and the northeast region;(2)The agglomeration of scientific and technological talents is conducive to improving the urban economic resilience, and transport infrastructure construction, government intervention, entrepreneurial vitality of personnel and local population density are also of positive significance to enhancing the urban economic resilience;(3)The agglomeration of technological talents has a negative spatial spillover effect on the economic resilience of neighboring cities, which means that the aggregation of technological talents to a certain city inhibits the improvement of the economic resilience of its surrounding cities.Based on the above research conclusions, this paper mainly puts forward relevant policy recommendations from the aspects of improving the level of regional scientific and technological talent gathering, establishing a sound talent cooperation and exchange mechanism, and formulating urban development strategies according to local conditions. |
