The History Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)advocates selecting diversified teaching resources,exploring diversified teaching methods,and encouraging the deep integration of modern information technology and history teaching.The application of historical documentaries films in courses can effectively change traditional teaching methods,adapt to people’s personalized and diverse learning methods nowadays,and promote better interaction and communication between teaching and learning.In terms of teaching practice,historical documentaries,as top notch movie resources,has been paid more and more attention by front-line history teachers and has become one of the important curriculum resources in history teaching.The documentary General History of China is of great educational significance with its characterizes of respecting historical facts,being easy to understand,absorbing the most advanced academic achievements and paying attention to the use of archaeological materials.It highlights the timeless national spirit and the excellent moral character handed down from generation to generation by Chinese people.Since it is closely related to the contents of the first and second volumes of the seventh grade history textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education,the documentary is of important value for history teaching in junior high schools.By selecting fragments such as creating scenes,displaying historical materials and interviewing experts,the documentary General History of China that used by teachers in their teaching can not only enhance the interest of history teaching,but also enable students feel the professionalism of history.This paper mainly includes five parts.The first chapter is the introduction.In this chapter,the author explains the reason for choosing the topic and the significance of the research,summarizes the application of historical documentaries in middle schools teaching,and the research status of the documentary General History of China in junior high school history teaching.It also expounds the research thoughts contents,research methods,and innovations of this paper.The second chapter analyzes the concept,classification,and characteristics of historical documentaries,and illustrates the necessity and feasibility of applying historical documentaries in junior high school history teaching.The third chapter briefly introduces the historical documentary General History of China and explains the theoretical basis for its application in teaching.The author summarize its teaching value from three aspects in the chapter: namely changing teaching methods,developing curriculum resources,and infiltrating subject literacy.The fourth chapter integrates the content of the documentary General History of China with the current textbook content of the first and second volumes of the seventh grade,analyzes and explores the specific application of this documentary in junior high school history teaching process,and take the version compiled by the Ministry of Education,the first volume of the seventh grade,Qin Unifies China as a demonstrate course example.The fifth chapter puts forward some suggestions and strategies for applying the documentary General History of China to junior high school history teaching based on the lesson examples.
