In order to explore the relationship between parenting style, peer relationship and bullying behavior,1010 junior high school students were investigated by using the Short-Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran(s-EMBU),the Peer Relationship Scale and the Bullying Participant Behaviors Questionnaire(BPBQ).SPSS23.0 and Amos25.0 were used for statistical analysis. The results are as follows:(1)On the whole, parents of junior high school students tend to adopt warm and positive parenting style. There is no significant difference between boys and girls in the dimension of parenting style, but the score of boys is significantly higher than that of girls in the dimension of father rejection. The class cadres feel more emotional warmth and over-protection from their mothers.Students in grade one experience more parental care and warmth than students in grade two and grade three.Students in grade three are more obviously overprotected by their parents than those in grade two.(2)As a whole, junior high school students have a good peer relationship.Girls feel more fear and inferiority than boys.Non-only children are more likely to be accepted and recognized by their peers. The students in grade one are more likely to be accepted in the peer group and show more peer acceptance behaviors.(3)On the whole, junior high school students do not have serious bullying behaviors. When faced with bullying, they will choose to be the defender in more cases.Bullying is more common in male students who play different roles in bullying. The class cadres are more likely to be the defender and the non-class cadres are more likely to be the assistant in bullying. The only children are more likely to be the bully or the assistant.Bullying are more common in the students of grade two.(4)The parenting style, peer relationship and bullying behavior of junior high school students are pair-wise correlated. The peer relationship has a significant mediating effect between parenting style and bullying behavior. The parenting style can not only directly predict bullying behavior, but also indirectly influence bullying behavior through peer relationship. This study believes that it is possible to help junior high school students develop positive peer relationship and reduce the occurrence of school bullying through improving the parenting style.
