Autism is a widespread neurodevelopmental disorder syndrome.With the continuous growth of the number of autistic children and the increasing awareness and attention of this group from all walks of life,rehabilitation training and treatment have become a problem that cannot be ignored.Scholars in various professional fields try and explore the combination of various theories,methods,and perspectives from different disciplines to find the most suitable way for rehabilitation training for children with autism in China,so as to help them carry out rehabilitation training and achieve the best results.The article attempts to intervene in the rehabilitation training of autistic children through the group work method of art therapy combined with social work.It is hoped that this method can be integrated into routine rehabilitation training to achieve the best effect in improving the ability of autistic children,and ultimately enable them to return to their families and society.The paper selects the child with autism from W Children’s Behavior Guidance Center in S City as an example.With the help of the child’s behavior guidance center as the activity venue,accompanied by professional special education teachers,a total of seven group activities were conducted during the regular rehabilitation training course for children with autism.Attempt to integrate art therapy into the rehabilitation training and treatment of autistic children for practical research and exploration,and use empowerment theory,social support theory,and cognitive behavioral therapy methods combined with group work methods of social work to intervene in the improvement of multiple abilities and social interaction of autistic children.Pre and post tests can be conducted on specific performance of group members before and after group activities through questions related to language,attention,cognitive understanding,social interest,emotional issues,mobility,stereotyping,and sense of interest in the IBSE scale.The measurement shows that some aspects of the ability level have a trend towards better development,with significant differences among individual children,It can be seen that changing the way of rehabilitation training in a short period of time can bring positive help to children with autism,thereby promoting the effectiveness of rehabilitation training,making changes in children’s cognition,behavior,expression,life ability,social interaction,and other aspects.It also indicates that the various art courses designed in this article are reasonable and effective for the group of autistic children.The article has made innovations in research methods and practical methods.The author attempts to integrate various art therapies such as music,painting,dance,and handwork into the curriculum and change the conventional forms of rehabilitation training,combining with the professional methods of group work in social work,to establish groups and carry out group activities,To improve their various abilities,and enhance their social interaction skills.However,the abilities that each child lacks are different,The superficial characteristics presented by social communication abilities are different,and the demand for artistic abilities and skill mastery are inconsistent.The improvement of abilities requires a process,which requires continuing to provide different types of artistic rehabilitation training courses for children with autism in future rehabilitation training,providing a space for effort and progress for children with autism.
