Research On Group Work Intervention For Improving The Communication Ability Of Community Workers

From the perspective of urban development,communities,as the fundamental units of urban composition,provide various services and assistance to the residents living in them,thereby achieving the goal of promoting the stability and healthy development of the entire society.In the process of carrying out community management work,the professional quality and management level of community workers are very critical,and communication ability,as the basis for community workers to carry out community management work,often determines the overall service quality of a community.As a way of information transmission between people,communication is the basic behavior in people’s life.In the daily work exchange process,community workers need to take the initiative to communicate with residents,find problems through communication,and solve them in a timely manner.Only by treating residents’ problems as their own can we gain recognition from them and establish a good state of harmonious coexistence between both parties.The communication ability of community workers not only directly affects their work effectiveness,but also to a certain extent determines the level and effectiveness of urban community governance.Therefore,improving the communication ability of urban community workers is an important topic of social governance.This paper is divided into six chapters: the first chapter focuses on the research background and significance of community workers’ communication ability.By consulting the research status at home and abroad,we can understand the related factors affecting community workers’ communication ability and the ways to improve it,and then clarify the research ideas and methods of this paper.The second chapter focuses on the basic concepts of community workers,communication skills and group work,as well as the theoretical contents of community governance theory,advantage theory and communication theory,which provides some basic theoretical basis for the follow-up research of this paper.The third chapter takes Jiujiang community workers as the research object,expounds the basic situation of Jiujiang community,makes a preliminary investigation and analysis on the communication ability of community workers through interviews,questionnaires and field research,grasps the needs of community workers for improving their communication ability,analyzes and summarizes the problems and causes of their communication ability,and designs the intervention plan of group work according to the existing problems,and makes clear the program objectives,team recruitment and specific activity design.The fourth chapter is the implementation of the plan of group work intervention.Firstly,eight community workers are selected as group members in Jiujiang community according to the plan objectives,and then eight members are trained to improve their communication skills in three stages,namely,theoretical training stage,practical training stage and inductive promotion stage.The theoretical training stage mainly focuses on improving communication cognition,mastering communication skills and understanding feedback needs;In the practical exercise stage,communication scenarios are simulated around two main communication objects: colleagues and residents.In the induction and promotion stage,with the help of social workers,the training system of community workers’ communication ability is formulated,and the training points of "sense of object" and "hypothetical scenario" in the process of scenario simulation exercise are clarified.The fifth chapter is the summary evaluation of group work,including process evaluation and result evaluation.The process evaluation mainly involves two aspects: satisfaction evaluation of activity design after each stage and evaluation of goal achievement.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the whole research and points out the shortcomings in the research process.It is hoped that through this study,the communication ability of community workers can be effectively improved,and the community governance level and comprehensive service ability of Jiujiang community can be improved.
