| Chinese population aging trend is developing rapidly, the elderly population proportion of the total population is increasing. There is growing concern in all sectors of society about problems related to the elderly.Retirement is a major turning point in life for many people.Leaving the long-term job position and returning to the family, the lives of newly retired elderly people have undergone tremendous changes. They used to be busy with work, but now they have 24 hours of leisure. They used to get along with their leaders and colleagues every day,but now they are gradually no longer in contact. They used to be diligent in the workplace, but now they are staying at home and doing nothing. They used to be able to decide on family matters, but now things are decided by their children. Some newly retired elderly people have poor adaptation to these changes and a reduced sense of self-worth.This paper collects relevant data on the self-worth of newly retired elderly people through questionnaire surveys and interviews. It is found that due to factors such as maladaptation to retirement life, narrow social scope, poor family communication methods, and low participation in social activities, the self-worth of newly retired elderly people decreases, facing problems such as abnormal mental state, reduced social frequency, weak family relationships, and monotonous leisure life. This paper uses the Satire family therapy model to intervene two clients, one is a retired worker and the other is a retired cadre.Using iceberg theory, home sculpture, temperature reading, meditation and other skills, help the clients to correctly understand themselves after retirement, change the wrong evaluation of their own value, find the problems existing in family communication, establish a better way of family communication, promote the service objects to participate in social activities,go outside of the house, make more friends, and expand their social circle.Clients are encouraged to share their home-made snacks and chess skills with their neighbors. They can make friends and enhance their sense of self-worth while making contributions to others. The process of intervention is not only to help the clients to change, but also to explore the feasibility of applying the Satire family therapy model to improve the self-worth of the elderly at the beginning of retirement. The Satire family therapy model believes that individuals have the ability and resources to change, and pay attention to the impact of family on individuals. The newly retired people always stay with family, which is consistent with this model. Finally, summarize the intervention process and put forward suggestions on mobilizing the initiative of the newly retired elderly, more care from the family members, organizing various activities in the community, and improving the education of the elderly. To improve the self-worth of the newly retired people, individuals, families, communities and society need to work together. The innovation of this paper is to take the self-worth of the newly retired elderly as the research object, take the advantageous perspective and social support theory as the theoretical basis, and use the Satire family therapy model to promote the newly retired elderly to build self-esteem and confidence, improve family relations, increase community social participation, and extend the social circle. However, due to insufficient practical experience, there is still room for improvement in the application of the Satya family therapy model in the article. |
