A Case Study On Crisis Intervention For Women Suffering From Domestic Violence

The harm of domestic violence is enormous,and the severity of its consequences cannot be ignored.In many cases of domestic violence,women are mostly the victims,constrained by traditional ideas such as "family culture" and "men are superior to women".The victims are ashamed to tell others about the harm caused by domestic violence.The concealment of violence and the misconception of the public about violence are all reasons for the long duration of domestic violence injuries.Based on the research of many scholars on domestic violence,combined with crisis intervention theory and violence cycle theory,and using interview method as the main means of obtaining information,it is found that women who have been subjected to domestic violence have a relatively significant sense of powerlessness after long-term domestic violence,and there are relatively serious crisis situations in terms of psychological emotions and life safety.This article mainly adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods for research,using interview,scale,and observation methods to collect relevant information about the case owner.By measuring and evaluating the risk level and self-anxiety level of victims of domestic violence,a service plan was developed for the victims.The crisis intervention method was used to intervene,and the case owner was intervened online and offline for 6 times.As a facilitator or resource linker,help the case owner understand ways and means of combating domestic violence,enhance the case owner’s confidence in responding to violence,accompany the case manager with personal protection orders,ensure the life safety of the case owner,temporarily avoid violence,solve the psychological problems of the case owner,ease the adverse emotions of the case owner,and guide the case owner to establish a correct understanding.Link resources for the case owner,help the case owner realize his own value,affirm his own ability,and Finally,on the premise of complying with the case owner’s self-determination,the case owner and the case owner’s husband are separated to achieve the lifting of the life safety crisis of the case owner.After closing the case,summarize the experience of crisis intervention in domestic violence cases and reflect on the shortcomings,especially the ethical issue of victim guilt and condemnation.Finally,based on the practical experience of this study and the research of existing scholars on domestic violence,this paper discusses how to intervene in the issue of domestic violence in the future from three levels:individual,community,and society.To truly serve the needs of the case owner,free the case owner from the psychological and physical harm caused by domestic violence,tap the potential of the case owner through the professional advantages of social work,enable the case owner to dare to fight against domestic violence,and have ways to support it.Finally,to achieve the goal of improving the case owner’s self-confidence,enhancing their sense of self,enabling them to have expectations for future life,and achieving self-worth,so as to gradually extricate the case owner from difficulties and crises.
