The high school ideological and political course stands shoulder to the essential mission of carrying out and establishing moral education,ensuring high school students can buckle the first button of their lives.One of the most important aims of the high school ideological and political course is to develop high school students’ cultural self-confidence,which may adequately reflect its core values scientifically and ideologically of this course.With the development of the process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,the academic community is increasingly paying attention to the development of cultural self-confidence among high school students.Teachers in this course should not only be devoted to students’ academic success,but also to helping them develop their cultural literacy,to strengthening their cultural self-confidence,and and to shaping their scientific cultural values.There are numerous discussions regarding the ways to foster cultural self-confidence among college students in earlier research,but there have been less articles about how exactly to facilitate students’ self-confidence culturally.Because high school students are the architects and inheritors of socialism,and fostering their cultural self-confidence in the intellectual and political realm is particularly of great urgency.From the standpoint of the ideological and political discipline,the thesis investigates how to nurture students’ cultural self-confidence in a high school ideological and political course.Also,it investigates why cultivating students ’cultural self-confidence in the high school ideological and political course matters most,revealing that doing so is conducive to shaping right core values for high school students in this course,developing a key curriculum for high school students during the plucking and gestation period,and cultivating new generations to take up the important task of national rejuvenation.In the courses,challenges of developing students’ cultural self-confidence are mostly represented in teachers’ lack of understanding of the need of building cultural self-confidence,fragmentation of cultural contents in textbooks and solidification of cultural self-confidence cultivation methods in class.The reasons for this are that some teachers do not pay sufficient attention to cultivating cultural self-confidence,the integration of cultural contents in textbooks is insufficient,and the teaching methods and approaches are relatively homogeneous.The study focuses on the strategies for strengthening students’ cultural self-confidence during the course.After examining the obstacles of developing students’ cultural self-confidence in the ideological and political courses,specific reasons are revealed,and solutions for cultivating students’ cultural self-confidence in high school ideological and political courses are proposed.When it comes to the challenges of growing students’ cultural self-confidence in the courses,the techniques for cultivating students’ cultural self-confidence in the high school ideological and political course are often explained in four aspects: first,improving teachers’ comprehensive quality and guarding the field of responsibility for cultivating cultural self-confidence;second,exploring teaching contents deeply and enriching the resource base for cultivating cultural self-confidence;third,innovating teaching methods and approaches and improving the effectiveness of cultivating cultural self-confidence;fourth,educating people cohesively and gathering the synergy of educating people to build a big pattern of cultivating cultural self-confidence.
