The excellent Chinese traditional culture is the root and soul of the Chinese nation,and is the inexhaustible driving force for the Chinese nation to live on and pass on.The ideology,literature and art contained in the excellent Chinese traditional culture need to be carried forward and inherited.As the successors of socialist modernization,elementary school students are responsible for the important mission of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and educating them about the excellent Chinese traditional culture can not only improve their cultural literacy but also enhance their national pride.With the promulgation and implementation of the national "double reduction policy",extracurricular activities are increasingly playing an irreplaceable educational value and showing a vibrant educational power.It is the duty and mission of the times to educate the outstanding Chinese traditional culture through extracurricular activities and to integrate the splendid culture of the Chinese nation into the bones and blood of the children of China.Therefore,the author intends to conduct an in-depth study on traditional culture education activities in extracurricular activities in elementary school,in order to investigate the current situation and educational effectiveness of Chinese excellent traditional culture education in extracurricular activities in elementary school.This research study uses the literature method to summarize the research of domestic scholars on Chinese excellent traditional culture and Chinese excellent traditional culture education in extracurricular activities;it focuses on the necessity and importance of this research study;and defines the concepts of extracurricular activities,Chinese excellent traditional culture,and Chinese excellent traditional culture education.This research study analyzes the current situation of Chinese excellent traditional culture education in the extracurricular activities of elementary school in Inner Mongolia through questionnaire,interview and observational research in terms of teachers’ and students’ knowledge and attitude toward traditional culture,teachers’ traditional culture literacy,the content of educational activities conducted in schools,the implementation status and the guarantee conditions,respectively.It was found that the traditional culture education in the extracurricular activities of elementary school in Inner Mongolia is people-oriented in terms of educational objectives,unique in terms of educational contents,and effective in the process of education,but the research also found that the current educational attitudes and practical actions of elementary school are inconsistent,the educational contents are single and one-sided,there is a big gap between urban and rural areas in the development of activities,the local resources of education are not tapped,the teachers of traditional culture education are weak,and the evaluation mechanism of educational activities is not perfect.The evaluation mechanism of education activities is not perfect.The reasons for these problems are found to be the negative influence of exam-oriented education,the imbalance in the positioning of the content of educational activities,the gap between the economic level and security conditions between urban and rural areas,and the lack of attention to school education.In response to the existing problems,this study puts forward applied suggestions: to strengthen the importance of traditional culture in school education;to enrich the educational content of excellent Chinese traditional culture in extracurricular activities;to integrate regional resources to broaden students’ traditional culture learning channels;to strengthen the construction of teachers for excellent traditional culture education;and to improve the evaluation system of traditional culture education to optimize the effect of traditional culture education.After this research study,we conclude that: there is an inconsistency of schools attaching importance to traditional culture education in concept but neglecting it in action;the traditional culture education content varies among elementary school with obvious differences;there is a wide gap in the guarantee conditions of traditional culture education between urban and rural elementary school;primary students are more active and less active in participating in traditional culture activities;teachers’ traditional culture literacy needs to be improved;schools should The communication of traditional culture education should be strengthened among schools;therefore,elementary school should strengthen the educational activities of excellent Chinese traditional culture in extracurricular activities.It is expected that this study can provide some research reference for other schools to realize the effective transmission of excellent Chinese traditional culture.
