Studies have pointed out that the mental health level of junior high school students has shown a downward trend,and the mental health of children and adolescents has become an important public health issue related to the future of the country and the nation,and interpersonal relationship quality and interpersonal skills,as important indicators of the overall quality of children and adolescents,have an important role in promoting children’s social cognition,self-awareness,academic achievement and mental health.Therefore,improving the interpersonal skills of junior high school students can help them establish good interpersonal relationships,thereby further promoting their mental health growth.In this study,according to the social work intervention model oriented by the ecosystem approach,the social work method of casework as the main and group work supplemented was used to intervene in Xiaochen,a junior high school student with interpersonal communication problems.Firstly,combined with the scale and the observation of social workers,the problems existing in the client were analyzed,which were specifically manifested in insufficient interpersonal motivation,lack of interpersonal cognition and lack of interpersonal skills.Secondly,based on ecosystem theory,the reasons behind the client’s problems are analyzed from the micro system(individual),meso system(family and school)and macro system(community),and the client’s needs are analyzed and multi-level intervention strategies are formulated.Third,social workers intervene in the client’s personal and environmental system,and at the individual level,use games,community peer groups,etc.to change the client’s bad habits and bad social behaviors,and improve the client’s interpersonal skills;At the environmental level,through strategies such as community volunteering and teacher empowerment,strengthen the educational function of client families,improve the environment of client classes,and promote the connection of families,schools and communities.Finally,the author systematically sorts out the path of interpersonal skills improvement of junior high school students from the perspective of ecosystem,and improves the environmental quality of junior high school students and promotes communication between systems through personal and environmental interventions.Individual micro-level intervention requires comprehensive use of case intervention and group activities to solve junior high school students’ interpersonal communication problems and improve their environmental adaptability.Environmental interventions include integrating community resources,identifying peers involved in junior high school families,and jointly strengthening the functions of junior high school families;Use group counseling and "family-school-community" linkage to improve the classroom and school environment;Strengthen community publicity and education,and provide opportunities for junior high school students to participate in the community.
