| The National Biology Curriculum Standards for High School(2017Edition Revised 2020)clearly put forward the core literacy of biology,which further clarifies the basic requirements for nurturing people in biology.This paper integrates the concept of core literacy in biology into biology after-school assignments,and verifies the necessity of designing high school biology after-school assignments under core literacy in view of the lack of core literacy in biology after-school assignments design research and the urgent requirement of implementing cultivating core literacy in high school biology after-school assignments nowadays.In this paper,starting from the literature on core literacy and homework design at home and abroad,we collected and analyzed information about the current status of implementation of after-school homework in high school biology through questionnaires and interviews,and found that the following problems exist in the design of after-school homework in high school biology: 1.The difficulty level of homework does not match with students’ learning ability;2.The content and form of homework is single;3.Too many assignments and heavy learning tasks;4.The connection between after-school homework and core literacy of the subject is not close;5.The method of homework evaluation is single.Therefore,the principles,strategies,and flowcharts of after-school homework design are proposed and the effects of after-school homework are tested for the current problems in the design of after-school homework in high school biology.Specifically,the following are the principles of biology after-school homework design: including the principle that homework evaluation is progressive,homework forms should be diversified,homework content should be inquisitive,homework tasks should be contextualized,and homework amount should be moderate.Second,biology after-school homework design strategies:enhance homework design awareness,clarify homework design goals,improve the operation evaluation mechanism.Third,the flow chart of high school biology after-school homework design based on subject core literacy.Based on the idea of biology after-school homework design,we select some contents of the module "Molecules and Cells" of high school biology of People’s Education Edition,provide examples of after-school homework design and put them into practice.Fourth,the effectiveness of high school biology after-school homework based on subject core literacy was tested by means of students’ academic performance assessment,post-test questionnaire and interview.The results of the study show that the design of high school biology after-school homework based on the core literacy of the subject is compatible with the new curriculum standards,adapts to the development of the times,and adapts to the development needs of students.At the same time,by designing after-school homework under core literacy,it can improve students’ interest in learning and enhance their academic performance.It can also promote the development of their core literacy in biology.Therefore,the design of high school biology after-school homework based on subject core literacy has a certain necessity. |
