The comprehensive rule of law is being promoted in an orderly manner,and the rule of law has become the basic way to govern the country in China.Young people are the future and hope of the motherland and bear the important responsibility of building a rule of law China,a rule of law government and a rule of law society,so nowadays more and more attention is paid to the cultivation of young people's awareness of the rule of law.Morality and rule of law classes can teach students systematic knowledge of the rule of law,so they have become the main front for cultivating students' awareness of the rule of law.Junior high school students are at an important stage of rapid physical and mental development and learning to participate in the public life of society,and are at a critical period of ideological and moral and value formation,so they urgently need correct guidance from teachers in terms of values,so morality and rule of law teachers should seize this critical period to cultivate students' awareness of the rule of law.Cultivating students' awareness of the rule of law is of great importance to both the state,society and individuals.According to the connotation of the rule of law and consciousness,and the explanations of scholars on the connotation of the rule of law consciousness,this paper defines the connotation of junior high school students' awareness of the rule of law as: through systematic legal knowledge learning,profound legal emotional experience,and discrimination and discussion of the rule of law behavior,students are encouraged to form a cognition of the rule of law,and their recognition and belief in the rule of law are really born from the bottom of their hearts,thus externalizing into the practice of the rule of law behavior.Starting from the connotation of the awareness of the rule of law,this paper analyzes the content of the cultivation of the awareness of the rule of law in the second volume of the eighth grade textbook,and divides it into three aspects:upholding the supremacy of the constitution,equality of rights and obligations,and justice.This paper investigates the present situation of cultivating students' awareness of the rule of law in the teaching of "Morality and Rule of Law" by questionnaire and teacher interview.It is found that after the study of the Constitution,students still have some problems,such as weak awareness of the rule of law,deviation in cognition and practice,insufficient knowledge of the rule of law,and low interest in learning.The main reasons are that teachers' teaching methods are relatively simple,teaching objectives are not in place,and teaching materials are not fully used.According to the problems analyzed,this paper puts forward concrete countermeasures from three aspects: flexibly using various teaching methods to implement teaching objectives,fully excavating teaching materials to enrich teaching contents,and carrying out rich legal practice activities to practice legal behavior.
