Case teaching method is very common and important in geography teaching in senior high school,especially after the new curriculum reform,its advantages become more and more obvious-it can effectively help students understand and master various new national concepts and improve their ability to analyze and solve human geography problems.The case teaching process of human geography in senior high school is generally: screening typical cases → teachers asking questions → students’ autonomous learning → group discussion and exploration → teachers’ summary and evaluation → internalization and improvement.Screening typical cases is not only the beginning of case teaching process,but also determines the success of case teaching.Whether the case is appropriate will directly affect whether the ideal classroom teaching effect can be achieved and whether the teaching objectives can be achieved comprehensively.However,the author found in five years’ work research and teaching summary that there are still some factors and problems that affect its practical effect in the process of practical application.Therefore,the author believes that it is extremely urgent and necessary to clarify the problems in the application of case teaching of human geography in senior high schools and make targeted improvements,which can greatly promote the development of case teaching of human geography in senior high schools.The main body of this paper is as follows: In the first step,combined with my practical experience in teaching,I studied a series of related documents,combed the research methods and ideas of this paper,and summarized the current situation at home and abroad;The second step is to clarify the related concepts of case teaching and determine the theoretical support of this study;The third step is to make a questionnaire and send it out for investigation.The questionnaire mainly investigates from the dimensions of case teaching cognition,case teaching skills,teachers’ case teaching implementation process,case teaching connection with reality,case teaching effect and students’ opinions on case teaching,and systematically classifies the questionnaire results as the basis for analyzing the application of case teaching in human geography classroom,and further summarizes its influencing factors;Finally,the course "Agricultural Location Factors and Their Changes" is selected as an example,and the case teaching method is applied to complete the whole teaching process.The purpose is to summarize the related problems in practice and put forward corresponding solutions,so as to improve the application effect of case teaching in human geography classroom.The main information we can get from the questionnaire is as follows: Case teaching is of great help in the study of geography in senior high schools,which is conducive to stimulating students’ interest in learning,cultivating and improving students’ ability of geographical inquiry and geographical thinking,and contributing to the implementation of the new curriculum reform.However,some problems have also been found in the implementation process.The main problems of students are their low interest in the learning process and their participation needs to be improved.Teachers’ awareness of the characteristics and advantages of case teaching strategies and how to carry out case teaching correctly is low;Teachers’ strategies and evaluation methods of using case teaching are relatively simple;Teachers are biased in role orientation and strategy selection in case teaching;Lack of communication and cooperation among teachers.Mainly include:(1)Students.Improve the self-initiative and self-management of learning in geography class;Individual study and cooperative communication should be combined appropriately,which is not easy to be biased;Basic methods and migration ability of case analysis.(2)Teachers.Improve the efficiency of case selection;Make it clear that students are the main body in teaching;Establish a perfect evaluation system.Improve the practicality of teaching;Choose a reasonable learning mode at the right time;Improve the evaluation system of teaching.(3)School.Continue to optimize teachers’ resources and improve teaching cases and teaching evaluation system;Enrich teachers’ teaching skills.The innovations of this paper are as follows: firstly,the author investigates and studies the application of case teaching of human geography in senior high schools from many aspects;Secondly,it summarizes the shortcomings of classroom teaching cases of human geography in senior high schools from many angles and puts forward targeted suggestions and strategies.
