Health education,as a part of the physical education and health curriculum,is an important part of all educational stages.In order to promote the scientific teaching of physical education and health courses in high schools in Hainan Province,For the purpose of cultivating students’ healthy living ability,Taking the teaching situation of health education in high school physical education and health courses in Hainan Province as the research object,Using literature data method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,field investigation method,expert interview method,Starting from the establishment and teaching situation of health education,On the establishment of health education,teaching objectives,teaching subjects,teaching content,methods,forms,evaluation and other elements of the research,Analyzing the teaching status of physical education and health education in Hainan Province,Find out the influencing factors and propose the countermeasures,Initially to provide theoretical support for the teaching of high school health education in Hainan Province.The findings of the study are as follows.1.In the opening of health education,all schools offer health education courses,but there are differences and deficiencies in the arrangement of school hours and periods compared with the suggestions in the curriculum standards.2.In terms of teaching objectives of health education,93.18% of teachers have clearly set teaching objectives,but students do not have a deep understanding of learning objectives,and teachers and students are "lame" in the choice of specific goals.3.In terms of the main body of health education teaching,teachers and students affirmed the position of physical education teachers in health education,and there are differences in the selection of experts outside the school,mainly caused by the contradiction between the restriction of school teaching conditions and students’ recognition of experts.4.In terms of the teaching content of health education,teachers tend to start from the students on the selection basis.The specific content selection,teachers choose the balance.Students have not comprehensive understanding of the content,and there is a "lame" phenomenon in the content selection.5.In terms of the teaching methods of health education,teachers tend to adopt the traditional teacher-based teaching method,and students prefer the main method of taking students’ active learning.6.In terms of health education teaching forms,teachers mainly adopt the form of class theory courses.Students prefer lectures,off-campus observation,practical operation and other forms of learning.7.In terms of health education teaching evaluation,most teachers and students hold a positive attitude towards the effect of health education teaching and learning.When teachers and students choose the content of health education evaluation,health cognition and individual(or team)health behavior account for a large proportion.In the choice of learning evaluation form,teachers choose in a more balanced way,but students have less choice of theoretical examination.8.The influencing factors of health education and teaching of high school physical education and health courses in Hainan Province mainly include the following levels: school level: imperfect facilities,insufficient understanding of leaders,inadequate implementation and lack of training.Teacher level: a lack of professionalism.Student level: students’ understanding of health education is not comprehensive,and their learning interest and attitude are easy to be disturbed.9.In view of the problems in the teaching of high school physical education and health education in Hainan Province,the countermeasures are put forward from the level of local policies,schools,teachers,parents and students.Local policy level: to promote the construction of health education majors,disciplines and resources.School level: improve the teaching supervision and evaluation mechanism,and strengthen the teacher training.Teacher level: correct working attitude,improve the teaching system of health education.Family level:to increase parents’ attention to and participation in health education.Student level: improve students’ cognition of health education and actively participate in health education activities.
