| China officially announced the core literacies for student development in China in2016,and the newly revised General High School Art Curriculum Standards in 2020 clearly stipulate the main elements of the core literacies of the art subject,namely image literacy,art expression,aesthetic judgement,creative practice and cultural understanding.This core literacy is based on the unique visual and aesthetic characteristics of the art discipline,and is also designed to meet the needs of modern social development.In that context,the question of what kind of teaching methods to adopt to cultivate students’ core literacy has become a problem to be solved in art education at all teaching stages.Today’s world is an era of rapid development of visual information.People are faced with images all the time in their daily lives and work,and the image culture that has developed with the frequent use of images has brought new ways of understanding the world.The core literacy of image literacy requires students to be able to not only analyse the surface meaning of an image,but also to interpret the artist’s emotional expression and learn to use the language of art to express their emotions.Firstly,the background and significance of this paper are clarified by the literature research method and interview method,the current situation of domestic and international research on image literacy is reviewed,the research objectives and research content of this paper are formulated on the basis of the needs of modern social development and existing theoretical support,and the research direction of this paper is clarified.The current situation of image literacy among junior high school students and the factors affecting students’ image literacy are analysed using the interview and action research methods.It is also important to analyse the necessity of using art clubs to enhance students’ image literacy.Art club activities break through the limitations of the art classroom and obtain vivid art materials and creative inspiration from nature,which is conducive to relaxing and improving students’ aesthetic quality;guiding students to learn to integrate school and social public resources,broadening their horizons and expanding their knowledge of art subjects at the same time;through the development of various forms of Through a variety of art club activities,students are motivated to learn while promoting the internalisation of art subject knowledge and the enhancement of core literacy.The objectives and content of this paper were designed using a combination of research methods and the wcontext and significance of the study.Finally,concrete implementation of classical image literacy is carried out using case study and action research methods,etc.Students are guided to integrate what they have learnt,relate to real-life situations,integrate across disciplines to complete their interpretation of images,and try to use these methods to literate other images.In this way,students master the basic methods of image literacy,enhance their ability to transfer knowledge and promote the internalisation of image literacy. |
