In recent years,with the rapid development of network information technology,educators continue to try to use modern information technology,explore more suitable for the development of contemporary students’ teaching methods,thus promoting the innovation and development of various teaching modes.The online and offline mixed teaching mode emerges at the historic moment,it integrates network information resources and modern information technology,is the optimization and innovation of the traditional teaching mode.Basketball is an important course of college physical education major.In the new situation of post-epidemic era,how to use the combination of online and offline teaching is both an opportunity and a challenge for sports major basketball teaching.In this paper,the application of the mixed online and offline teaching model in the improvement of basketball teaching is studied in order to provide theoretical and case reference for the innovative development of basketball teaching model in colleges and universities in the future.This study uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,teaching experiment and mathematical statistics.The experiment lasted for 16 weeks.The application of online and offline mixed teaching mode and traditional teaching mode in the basketball major improvement course was studied.Several test indexes were selected for comparative analysis,including the students’ basketball skills and tactics,basketball theoretical knowledge.Learning interest,independent research and learning ability,unity and cooperation consciousness,basketball tactical awareness,course satisfaction,etc.The following conclusions were drawn from the study:1、The combination of online and offline teaching mode is adopted to help students integrate and practice basketball skills through the integration and application of various teaching resources.The results showed that students in the experimental group were more effective in teaching basketball skills than students in the control group.2、Through the learning and testing of basketball theoretical knowledge on the online teaching platform,help students consolidate their theoretical foundation and strengthen their understanding of skills and tactics to improve the effectiveness of learning and practicing.The results showed that students in the experimental group had significantly improved their knowledge of basketball theory.3、At the end of the course,it was found that the tactical accomplishment of the students in the experimental group was significantly different from that of the students in the control group.4、The experimental group adopted mixed online and offline teaching mode,and the students in the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group in learning interest,independent inquiry ability,unity and cooperation awareness,tactical awareness and so on.5、The mixed online and offline teaching mode is a personalized teaching mode with the enhancement of comprehensive ability as the core.The survey found that the majority of students agree with the mixed online and offline teaching model,and they are satisfied with it.Based on the above findings,the following recommendations are made:1、In the era of rapid development of informationization,teachers shall pay attention to the transformation of teaching concepts,promote and guide the transformation of students’ learning methods through rich teaching design,use teaching platforms to integrate into the elements of curriculum thinking and politics,and jointly build a healthy and civilized network environment with students.We should pay attention to improving our own information literacy,actively participate in the sharing training of teaching mode reform,actively exchange ideas with teachers of other disciplines and summarize teaching experience.2、The teaching contents dominated by textbooks in the traditional teaching mode cannot keep pace with the development of the times.Therefore,we shall strengthen the construction of basketball teaching teams and division of labor and cooperation,and each of them shall make joint efforts to develop resources and enhance efficiency.We should take the actual needs of students as the main content of curriculum design,strengthen communication and mutual learning between teachers and students,and form a learning community under online and offline mixed teaching mode.3、In the process of learning,students shall change their learning concepts,establish a learning team,clarify their needs and deficiencies,learn from each other’s strong points to offset their weaknesses,make full use of excellent learning resources on the Internet,cultivate the initiative of learning and the spirit of cooperative inquiry,improve their learning ability,and jointly improve basketball knowledge and skills.4、Schools shall give full play to the advantages of online teaching,strengthen the construction of online learning platforms,provide technical support for the implementation of mixed online and offline teaching modes,create a good online learning environment,provide personalized services according to the characteristics of different subjects,and promote the promotion and sustainable development of mixed online and offline teaching modes.
