| As the world enters the era of knowledge economy,many countries devote themselves to the development of science and technology in order to improve the overall strength of the country.The development of science and technology is inseparable from the science and technology education of young people.Therefore,the cultivation of the science and technology literacy of the new generation of young people is increasingly valued by the educational circle and the whole society.On the one hand,science and technology education cannot leave the explanation of school science knowledge,on the other hand,schools also need to carry out colorful extracurricular science and technology activities.In order to better promote the middle schools in K city to carry out extracurricular science and technology activities,first of all,we need to understand the existing problems in the development of extracurricular science and technology activities in the middle schools in K City.This study takes the current situation of extracurricular science and technology activities in junior middle schools in K city as the research object.Six junior middle schools in K city are randomly selected as the research object,and questionnaire survey and interview are conducted among students in grade two,teachers related to science and technology education and school leaders.This survey mainly involves students’ and teachers’ understanding and evaluation of extra-curricular science and technology activities,the content of school activities,and the situation of teachers.In the questionnaire for teachers,additional investigations are made on school activity planning,organization,inspection,summary and other aspects.Through the investigation,it is found that the number of science and technology instructors and professional systematic training are insufficient in the extracurricular science and technology activities of junior middle schools in K City.The content of science and technology activities is simple and outdated,and students’ general interest is not high;The reasonable degree of time planning for extracurricular science and technology activities needs to be improved.Activity venues and equipment required for activities are limited,and funds are not in place;At present,the school’s management of activities is more extensive,showing a certain randomness,lack of fine management and other problems.The main reasons are as follows: the social atmosphere of attaching importance to science and technology education has not been formed,the school has not paid enough attention to extracurricular science and technology activities,the management system of extracurricular science and technology activities is not perfect,and parents have deviation in understanding and action of extracurricular science and technology activities.Therefore,it is suggested to strengthen the support of science and technology education from all walks of life.The school should actively carry out extracurricular science and technology activities through various channels;Schools should implement fine management of science and technology activities to form institutional advantages;Renew the educational concept,strengthen the cognition of teachers and parents. |
