Since entering the new era,General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee have attached great importance to labor education,highlight its role in talent cultivation,and emphasize the new development pattern of "simultaneous development of five educations".However,overall,the imbalanced and insufficient development of labor education is a common problem at present.Specifically,in vocational schools,the imbalanced and insufficient development of labor education is reflected in the common problem of inadequate management in understanding,organization,protection,evaluation,and other aspects of school labor education.At the same time,there are also differences between schools and regions.Solving the contradiction of imbalanced and insufficient development of labor education and meeting the growing demand for high-quality education of the people is an important theoretical topic and urgent educational task.Therefore,identifying the problems in the management of labor education in vocational schools and finding specific countermeasures is conducive to improving the level of labor literacy of vocational students,achieving higher quality and full employment,and promoting individual comprehensive development;Beneficial to improving the management level of labor education in vocational schools and reforming talent cultivation;It is conducive to narrowing inter school and regional differences,and achieving high-quality development of labor education.On the basis of reviewing the research results related to labor education at home and abroad,this study grasps the specific connotation of labor education from the perspectives of management and education.With the guidance of the Marxist theory of comprehensive human development and Xi Jinping’s New Era Labor Concept and Main Contradictions in the New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.Evaluate the current situation of school labor education management based on the specific requirements of documents such as the "Opinions" and "Outline".A total of 12 leaders,927 teachers,and 2919 students from 12 vocational schools in Guangdong Province were surveyed and interviewed through questionnaires.Among them,we were also focused on comparative analysis between schools,as well as between the Pearl River Delta,eastern Guangdong,western Guangdong,and northern Guangdong regions.The survey found that overall,the management of labor education has been strengthened,showing a positive trend of exploration.Teachers and students attach great importance to their thinking and have a high support rate;The training objectives and tasks are clear and specific,and the vocational education is obvious;The implementation process is standardized and orderly,with obvious characteristics;The initial effect is presented,with significant differences.However,the problem of imbalanced and insufficient development of labor education is quite prominent.There is a problem of inadequate management in school labor education,mainly manifested in a lack of in-depth understanding,inadequate organization,insufficient protection,and incomplete evaluation.In response to this,corresponding countermeasures are proposed.One is to strengthen education on the importance of management and deepen ideological understanding.The second is to strengthen organizational leadership and teaching governance,and optimize organizational structure.The third is to strengthen the supply of human,financial,and resources,and increase the level of security.The fourth is to strengthen supervision,inspection and evaluation,and improve the evaluation system.
