In recent years,professional social work has played an important role in the process of promoting grass-roots social governance.In the 2022 Government Work Report,we will promote social governance,joint development,shared governance,develop social work,and support the healthy development of social organizations,humanitarian assistance,voluntary services,public welfare and charity.The party’s 20 around the all-round construction socialism modernization country to go deep among the masses,the grass-roots level,take more livelihood,warm hearts,urgent sorrow to solve the people,improve the basic public service system,improve the level of public service,emphasize to improve the hierarchical classification of social assistance system,and established in March 2023,the central social work,brought new opportunities for the development of social work.With the progress of the new journey of comprehensive construction of socialist modernization,the deepening of the modernization of community-roots governance system and governance capacity has built a broad platform for the development of social work,and the rapid growth of the people’s good needs for mental health,interpersonal harmony,and social participation has provided a source of power for the development of social work.As the high-end talents in the social work industry,whether the graduating students of the social work major choose their major in the process of job hunting plays an important role in the development and growth of the social work industry.At present,China’s social work major graduates are continuing to transfer to the society,but there is still a phenomenon of urgent shortage of professional talents in social work positions.The high proportion of professional talents trained by colleges and universities does not complete the employment of the corresponding positions,and the loss of social work talents is serious.Based on this,this study took the social work graduating class of 2023 as the research object,and adopted a questionnaire survey to compare and analyze the employment intention and influencing factors of undergraduate and master’s graduating students.The study shows that the employment intentions of undergraduate and master are similar,the employment rate is relatively low,and the civil servant and career system,etc.The main factors affecting the employment willingness of the social work graduates are the salary,civil servant or career,personal development prospect and career prestige,which take the salary and family demands as the orientation,and decide whether to engage in social work.In view of the problems found in the research,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions.On the one hand,we should improve the ability and accomplishment of social work students,and enhance the professional recognition of social work students from the training mode and increasing the ability of social work practice.To strengthen employment guidance,let students understand and establish correct professional values,colleges and universities should establish an employment guidance system for their own major and offer corresponding lectures or guidance.On the other hand,the society should constantly improve the working environment of social work-related professions,promote the diversification of social work positions,and increase the social support for the social work industry.
