A Study Of Marx’s Thought On Employment And Its Contemporary Value

Marx’s idea of employment occupies an important position in the Marxist theoretical system,and its connotation is very rich.Although Marx did not write specifically on the issue of employment,Marx addressed the issue of employment of workers in capitalist society in many important works,such as 1844 Philosophical Manuscript on Economics,The German Ideology and Capitalism.A careful reading of Marx’s classic works reveals that Marx was at the forefront of theory in scientifically revealing the laws of human social development,pointing out the existing employment problems of capitalist society and making scientific visions of the employment of workers in the future society,all of which fully demonstrate Marx’s visionary insight.As China’s economy and society have entered a new era,achieving full employment of high quality has become an important employment goal for China.Linking Marx’s employment ideas about the impact of technology,labour and division on employment to the actual employment situation in China is conducive to promoting the understanding of employment among workers in China,as well as providing reference for solving the employment problem in China.On the basis of extensive reading of Marx’s classical works,this paper describes the background and origin of Marx’s thought on employment in the context of the historical conditions in which Marx lived at that time,and then comprehensive overview the main contents of Marx’s thought on employment,and on this basis,combined with the actual employment in China,explore the theoretical and practical value of Marx’s employment ideas in the employment practice of the new era.The research in this paper is divided into four sections.The first section introduces the background of Marx’s thought on employment,research significance,a review of the current status of domestic and foreign research,ideas and methods of research and innovation.By analysis this section,it lays the foundation for subsequent research;the second section outlines the background and ideological origins of Marx’s thought on employment.The development of the technological revolution and the intensification of the main contradictions in capitalist society are used as the basis for the reconstruction of the background of Marx’s employment ideas.The ideas of classical political economists and idealistic socialists on employment are summarised and the intellectual origins of Marx’s ideas on employment are explored.The third section as the focus of this paper analyses and summarises the main elements of Marx’s thought on employment.The main components include the prerequisites for employment,the objectives of employment,the forms of employment,the factors influencing employment and the vision of future employment in society,analysing the links between the various components and employment.The final section focuses on the contemporary value of Marx’s thought on employment.As economic and social development continues to face new challenges,the full application of Marx’s thought on employment to analyse and resolve the employment difficulties encountered in the context of the new era will help to resolve the major social contradictions and enhance people’s well-being.
