| The combination of the times and Li Guangtian’s unique personal experiences,literary preferences and interests has given rise to Li’s distinctive ideas on language education.In this paper,Li Guangtian’s ideas on language education are selected as the object of study,and Li Guangtian’s educational concepts are studied in detail,from which the characteristics of "poetry" are extracted,focusing on the background,main contents and theoretical values of his ideas on language education,so as to achieve a comprehensive study of Li Guangtian’s ideas on language education.This paper concludes that the characteristics of "poetry" are the core of Li Guangtian’s ideas on language education.Li Guangtian’s idea of "poetic" language education means to bring into play the educational value of literature and art,to promote "poetic" language,environment and experience,and to shape and develop students’ personalities through reading and teaching of literature and art works,classroom teaching and composition.It is through the reading and teaching of literary works,classroom instruction,and composition that the students’ personalities are shaped and developed so that they can acquire new ideas and insights,with the goal of achieving the highest level of student achievement and becoming an independent and perfect human being.The term "poetic" does not come from one of Li Guangtian’s views on language education,nor is it a term that refers to Li Guangtian’s ideas on language education,but rather the "poetic" characteristics of Li Guangtian’s ideas on language education in its essence,connotation,characteristics and external expression.This paper explores the depth and breadth of Li Guangtian’s thought on language education and the unique charm of his thought on language education in terms of its foundation,connotation,content and characteristics.In addition,Li Guangtian’s ideas on language education were born along with the times and have distinctive characteristics of the times,which should be viewed in a dialectical manner.On the basis of a brief evaluation of his ideas on language education,he affirms the valuable experience he has provided in promoting the development of language education,and draws on the essence of his ideas on "poetic" language education to further enlighten the role of language teaching today in terms of freedom,innovation,human-centredness and connection with life. |
