Research purpose:With the progress of society and the continuous improvement of living standards,the healthy growth of children,as the hope for the future of the country,has always been a common concern and concern of the whole society.The problems faced by children’s healthy growth are becoming increasingly prominent,and sensory integration dysfunction has become a stumbling block to children’s healthy growth.The issue of sensory integration dysfunction in children has attracted social attention.Sensory integration refers to the ability of the human body to input all sensory information received by various sensory organs into the brain for integration,and then process and command the body to respond through the brain.Sensory integration dysfunction can lead to problems such as limb disharmony,delayed language development,and decreased sensory motor function in children.Children are in a critical period of physical and brain development,and developing sensory integration ability is of great significance for their growth and development.Sensory integration dysfunction can be divided into three levels,among which fundamental motor dysfunction is the external manifestation of sensory integration dysfunction.Therefore,this study added sensory basic motor testing to evaluate the sensory integration status of basketball games on 5-6 year old children with moderate sensory integration dysfunction through the "Sensory Integration Assessment Scale for 3-6 Year Old Children" and sensory basic motor testing items.Specific testing indicators for children’s sensory integration ability include vestibular function Tactile defense and proprioception;The basic movement test indexes of sensory integration include three meter balance beam,ten meter turn back run and cross quadrant jump.Research methods:This study used the experimental method and mathematical statistics.The experimental method selected 30 children with moderate sensory integration disorder as the experimental subjects,with 15 children in the experimental group and 15 children in the control group,for a period of 12 weeks.The experimental group received basketball game intervention based on participating in regular physical education courses,while the control group received regular physical education courses.The data obtained before and after the experiment were compared and analyzed by using mathematical statistics.Research results:(1)Through 12 weeks of basketball game intervention,the experimental group showed significant changes in vestibular ability before and after the experiment(P<0.01);There was no significant change in the control group before and after the experiment(P>0.05).(2)Through 12 weeks of basketball game intervention,the experimental group showed significant changes in tactile ability before and after the experiment(P<0.01);There was no significant change in the control group before and after the experiment(P>0.05).(3)Through 12 weeks of basketball game intervention,the experimental group showed significant changes in proprioceptive ability before and after the experiment(P<0.01);There was no significant change in the control group before and after the experiment(P>0.05).(4)Through 12 weeks of basketball game intervention,in terms of sensory basic movement test,the experimental group showed significant changes before and after the three sensory basic movement tests of the three meter balance beam,the ten meter turn back run,and the cross quadrant jump(P<0.01),while the control group showed no significant changes before and after the experiment(P>0.05).Research conclusion:(1)After 12 weeks of basketball game intervention,the experimental group of children showed significant improvements in vestibular function,tactile defense,and proprioception before and after the experiment.There were no significant changes in the improvement of vestibular function,tactile defense,and proprioception in the control group of children before and after the experiment.Therefore,this study concludes that basketball games can improve the sensory integration ability of children aged 5-6 with moderate sensory integration disorder.(2)Through 12 weeks of basketball game intervention,the level of sensory basic movement in the experimental group children was improved,and children’s sensory basic movement is closely related to sensory integration ability.Improving children’s sensory basic movement can enhance children’s sensory integration ability.The experimental group of children showed varying degrees of improvement in their balance,sensitivity,and coordination abilities.This also confirms that basketball games can improve children’s sensory integration ability.
