Strengthening the construction of ideological and political theory courses is related to the overall state of ideological work,the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the achievement of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.To serve the overall development of the Party and the nation,and to cultivate new people who assume the responsibility of national revitalization in the era,the development of courses in ideological and political theory is an unavoidable requirement and obligation.The development of ideological and political theory courses in Chinese universities has made significant strides in a number of areas,exhibiting a new perspective on enhancing the quality and empowering students,as well as a new climate of reform and innovation.However,there are still instances in which courses prioritize form over efficiency,theory over practice,and extension over connotation.Contradictions between the supply of ideological and political theory courses in universities and the needs of students,abstract teaching content that is difficult for students to comprehend,lack of rich and diverse classroom teaching methods,and disregard for individual differences in teaching design are its primary flaws.How to ensure that ideological and political theory courses in universities can fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talent,and how to utilize all favorable resources to construct the courses well and maximize the efficacy of education,are important topics that must be studied in depth during the development of ideological and political theory courses.Faced with the aforementioned issues in ideological and political courses,it is necessary to perpetually stimulate the internal motivation of the curriculum in order to promote the development of high-quality ideological and political course content.Reform and innovation should be the primary means,and the overall optimization of the curriculum system and the complete development of the efficacy of the system’s various components should be the primary focus.The connotative development of the construction of ideological and political theory courses in universities must bolster the Party’s leadership,emphasize the political aspects of the construction of ideological and political theory courses,and prevent political drift.In classroom construction,we should adhere to the principle that content is king,maintain scientific nature,and continuously optimize the curriculum system of ideological and political education;In teaching,we should actively innovate teaching methods to improve the teaching "formula" in order to increase the artistic and infectious power of ideological and political education teaching.To cultivate and enrich the teaching staff and strengthen the core of ideological and political courses,we must enhance the assessment and evaluation mechanism,optimize the evaluation system,and generate a scientific feedback effect.Connotation-based development is the only method to advance the construction of ideological and political theory courses in universities in the twenty-first century.
