| At present, through the national reform of physical education institutions,as well as the deepening of the understanding of the concept of health, physical education has also developed from the traditional sense of emphasizing technology to emphasizing the physical and mental pleasure of students. The Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Strengthening School Sports to Promote the All-round Development of Students’ Physical and Mental Health proposes to insist on promoting the cultivation of interests and the improvement of skills, coordinating group activities and sports competitions, and constantly improving the training and competition system. As an important base for cultivating talents,it is vital to choose a reasonable diversified teaching mode and diverse organisational forms in order to adapt to the changing needs of society and the development of students’ physical and mental health,as well as to better help students enjoy themselves, improve their skills, enhance their physical fitness and exercise their will in physical education classes.Research purpose: This study introduces the "competition for learning" teaching model to aerobics, starting from a teaching competition and adopting a series of classroom competitions according to the characteristics of aerobics,in order to maximise athletic potential and competition, thus stimulating students’ motivation and interest, improving academic burnout and enhancing teaching effectiveness.Research methods: Mainly using literature, expert interviews, mathematical statistics, teaching experiments and other methods to study the teaching effect of competition promoting learning in aerobics special courses in colleges and universities.Based on the literature review and the research framework and content of this article, expert interviews were conducted to listen to expert opinions and select questionnaires.Lian Rong’s "College Student Learning Burnout Survey Scale" was used as a measurement tool.In this paper,60 undergraduate students(32 men and 28 women, with an average age of 22 years)majoring in aerobics at Grade 2021 in Shandong Institute of Physical Education were selected as the experimental subjects. The experimental class and the control class were set up.The experimental class adopted the teaching mode of "promoting learning through competition",and the control class adopted the conventional teaching mode. The experimental period was 16 weeks. The data before and after the experiment were collected for comparative analysis and conclusions were drawn.Research results: After16 weeks of teaching experiments,in terms of learning burnout, the test results of the two classes in three dimensions of low mood, improper behavior, and low sense of achievement were 0.039,0.148,and 0.042,respectively.The P-values of the two values were all less than 0.05,indicating significant differences. In terms of motor skills, the comprehensive score of the two classes was 0.002,P<0.05,indicating a significant difference. In terms of participation interest and cooperation spirit, the test results of the two classes in the dimensions of participation interest, learning attitude, cooperation spirit and self-efficacy were 0.001,0.090,0.000 and 0.025,respectively.There was a significant difference in cooperation spirit. The questionnaire, scores, and scores of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group.Research conclusion: Through comparative analysis of the data, the conclusions obtained are as follows:1.The teaching mode of "promoting learning through competition" can significantly improve students’ sports skills and is suitable for aerobics classroom teaching.2.Under the "competition driven learning" teaching mode, students experience learning pleasure through competitions, enhance self-management under the group mechanism, and feel a sense of achievement in task effectiveness. Therefore, the "competition driven learning" teaching mode plays an efficient role in reducing learning fatigue.3.The implementation of the teaching mode of "promoting learning through competition" in the aerobics class has stimulated students’ interest in learning through group cooperation, fostered students’ spirit of cooperation, and paid more attention to the psychological state in the learning process.Research suggestions: 1.Targeted competition content should be set according to the characteristics of sports events, and competition modes should be set according to different teaching units.2.Teachers should plan teaching plans in advance, and students should have predictability in teaching tasks.3.The combination of competition and results cannot be solely a mechanized experience.4.Teaching should be tailored to students’ aptitude and face the differences between students.5.Pay attention to safety issues. |
