| Poverty alleviation relocation in inhospitable areas is the "No.1 project" and the landmark project of poverty alleviation. The implementation of poverty alleviation relocation policy in inhospitable areas has brought important influence to the relocated people. As a special group of the relocated people, the elderly are an important part of the relocated communities.Different from other relocated people, this group is old and has poor adaptability,so it often faces great difficulties in integrating into the new environment,so it often has a variety of problems in adapting to the life of the new community. However, community integration cannot be achieved overnight. It requires the elderly to identify with the new community in their subjective consciousness.By jumping out of the previous rural memory,a new collective memory is constructed in the new community. These also constitute the background color of this paper to choose "poverty alleviation of relocated elderly in inhospitable areas" as the research object. In this study,150 elderly people relocated from inhospitable areas in S community were selected for questionnaire survey, and the status quo of community identity of the elderly relocated from inhospitable areas was analyzed from four dimensions of identity, emotional identity, cultural identity and behavioral identity.Through the use of participatory observation method, unstructured interview method and questionnaire survey,we learned that the community identity problems of the elderly relocated from inhospitable areas in S community include: lack of community identity, unfamiliar community emotional relationship, unfamiliar community cultural content and shallow community participation behavior. At the same time, according to the interview survey, the reasons for the low sense of community identity of the elderly relocated from inhospitable areas in S community are the bondage of traditional concepts of the elderly, the lack of neighborhood interaction and the weak sense of community participation. Therefore,in order to help the elderly relocated from inhospitable areas in S community to improve their sense of community identity, this paper will adopt the method of group work.Under the guidance of social identity theory and social support theory, the group designed six activities, trying to improve the community identity of the elderly relocated from inhospitable areas from four dimensions of identity, emotional identity, cultural identity and behavioral identity.Through the evaluation of the process and effect of practical intervention,it is found that the social identity theory and social support theory are theoretically feasible in the research on the improvement of community identity of the elderly who have been relocated for poverty alleviation, and the practical intervention has also achieved good results: it has promoted the formation of neighborhood relations, the formation of community culture, and the participation of community residents. However, there are also shortcomings: insufficient continuity of services, insufficient professional competence of social workers, and simple ways of social work intervention. In view of these deficiencies, this paper gives corresponding suggestions:improve the service participation mechanism of relocation for poverty alleviation, improve the professional ability of social workers, and broaden the practical ways for social work to participate in relocation for poverty alleviation. In the study,it is found that the improvement of community identity is not a one-time process, but requires continuous intervention of the service object within a certain period of time, and the intervention process requires the joint efforts of many people, therefore,to enhance the community identity of the elderly who have been relocated for poverty alleviation and relocation requires continuous professional services for the elderly, and gradually help the elderly who have been relocated to improve their identity with the community and be satisfied with the community through the process of professional services. |
