Research Background: Early childhood is a critical period for the motor development of individuals in their entire life cycle,and the level of motor development in this period plays a decisive role in the motor development of their life.It is during this period that gross movements,such as displacement skills and object control skills,are developed.Research Objectives: This study uses the Test of Gross Motor Development-2scale to study the influence of happy gymnastics on the athletic ability of children aged 5-6 years with happy gymnastics as the medium,aiming at improving the physical level of children with the form of happy gymnastics.This paper provides theoretical and practical guidance for the application of happy gymnastic movement to children’s rough movements.Research methods: This study adopted the method of literature,interview,experiment,video analysis and mathematical statistics.38 children aged 5-6 were selected as the research objects.The experimental group consisted of 19(10 boys and9 girls)and the control group consisted of 19(10 boys and 9 girls).Intervention duration was 3 months,12 weeks,4 times a week,each 50 minutes.(T)test and(P)test were used for statistical analysis of the data measured before and after exercise using SPSS2160.Research Results: 1.There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group before the happy gymnastics exercise intervention(P > 0.05).After 12 weeks of intervention,there was significant difference between the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01).The object control difference was significant(P < 0.01),and the body displacement movement was significant(P < 0.05).2.After intervention,there was a significant difference in scores between the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01).The significant difference in scores of the forward sliding movement was(P < 0,05),and the significant difference in scores of the in-place bouncing,two-handed catching and overhand throwing events was(P < 0.01).3.After intervention,there was a significant difference between the gross movement score of the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01),and the movement score of the two-handed catch item(P < 0.05);There was also a significant difference in the score of bouncing ball in place(P < 0.01).Research conclusions: 1.12 weeks of happy gymnastics exercise intervention can have a significant positive effect on the gross motor ability of 5-6 children.2.Happy gymnastics can significantly improve the body displacement and object control ability of children aged 5-6,and the development of object control skills is greater than the development of body displacement skills.3.The gross motor development of children increases with age.In children aged 5-6,the gross motor development of children aged 5.5 is generally better than that of children aged 5.4.Through 12 weeks of happy gymnastics intervention,it was found that happy gymnastics improved the gross movements of 5-year-old children significantly more than the gross movements of 5.5 year-old children.
