Research On Current Situation And Improvement Strategy Of PE Teachers’ Core Literacy In Yichang Junior Middle School

The state increases the investment in education and puts forward the guiding ideology of cultivating high quality teachers.It can be seen that the deepening of education reform requires the improvement of the quality of teachers and it is very necessary to establish a high quality teacher team.Physical education is an important part of school education and plays a key role in promoting students’ physical and mental health.As the guide and developer of physical education,the core quality of physical education teachers determines the quality of school education and affects the development level of students.In this paper,the literature method,Delphi method,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics and other scientific research methods,142 junior high school physical education teachers in 13 districts of Yichang city were investigated.First of all,the composition factors of junior high school physical education teachers’ literacy are classified and determined.Then,the status quo of Yichang junior high school physical education teachers’ core literacy is analyzed,and the existing problems in the current development process are discussed.Finally,the strategies to improve the development of Yichang junior high school physical education teachers’ core literacy are proposed.(1)This paper systematically combs and constructs the core literacy of junior high school physical education teachers,including four first-level indicators of physical education teaching literacy,teachers’ moral literacy,physical education discipline literacy and self-development literacy,and 19 second-level indicators of caring for students,working attitude and professional feeling.(2)On the whole,Yichang junior high school PE teachers’ core quality is good.Among the first-level indicators,"teacher morality" is the highest,and "independent development" is the lowest.Among the secondary indexes,"Caring for students","sports morality","education and teaching concept","career planning and development" developed well,while "career experience","sports ability","professional knowledge","teaching research","teaching design and implementation","teaching means and methods" and "communication and cooperation" developed poorly.(3)According to the analysis of the basic literacy of junior high school physical education teachers in Yichang city according to different characteristics,the results show that,on the whole,the core literacy level of male teachers is higher than that of female teachers,and the core literacy level of teachers with high professional titles is higher than that of teachers with low professional titles.The core literacy level of teachers with long working years is higher than that of teachers with low working years,and the core literacy level of teachers who teach in cities is higher than that of teachers who teach in rural areas.Through the comparison of PE teachers of different genders,different titles,different ages,different teaching years and different teaching areas,it is found that there are obvious differences in these dimensions of the core quality of different teachers,but there is no significant difference between PE teachers in terms of educational background.(4)According to the problems existing in the development of the core literacy of junior high school physical education teachers in Yichang city,the causes are analyzed,and the strategies to improve the core literacy of junior high school physical education teachers in Yichang city are proposed.The specific contents are as follows:strengthen the cultivation of professional belief and teacher ethics;Increase the curriculum of pedagogy in the cultivation of students;Solid implementation of teacher professional education practice and training work;Improve the cooperative training mechanism of PE teachers;Optimize the teaching environment of PE teachers after service education;Enrich the way of PE teachers post-service re-education.
