Wu Yan,Director of the Department of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education,said that blended learning should become the new norm for higher education teaching and learning in the future,and is an important step in the reform and "quality revolution" of higher education.According to literature and practical research,blended learning has shown obvious advantages in higher education teaching,but the quality of learning falls short of expectations.In this context,how to improve the quality of blended learning has become an important research direction.Among them,the level of learner engagement in learning is a key factor affecting the learning outcomes.Therefore,this study asks three specific questions: 1.What is the current status of university students’ learning engagement in a blended learning environment? 2.What factors have an impact on university students’ learning engagement in a blended learning environment? How can effective strategies be developed to enhance college students’ learning engagement based on these influencing factors? 3.How effective are strategies to enhance learning engagement?This study uses a combination of research methods,including literature research,questionnaires,experimental methods and interviews,to develop the following findings:1.Through the collation and analysis of the questionnaire data,it is found that from the overall learning engagement of university students,the level of emotional engagement is the highest,followed by behavioural engagement,and the level of cognitive engagement is low.In terms of secondary indicators,the mean values for interaction,pleasure,cognitive strategies,metacognitive strategies,resource management strategies and emotion management strategies were low.2.Through the collation and analysis of the data on the influencing factors,it was found that among the influencing factors of learning engagement,self-factors,teacher factors and other factors have different degrees of influence on improving learning engagement,modularized pre-learning strategies and knowledge concept map learning strategies.3.This study conducted an empirical study on the effects of learning engagement improvement strategies on university students’ learning engagement levels and compared the pre-test and post-test of learning engagement levels between the control group and the experimental group,finding that these strategies were more suitable for improving learners’ abilities in interaction,pleasure,cognitive strategies,and metacognitive strategies,and less significant for resource management strategies and affect management strategies.
