The feelings of home and country are rooted in the fine traditional culture of the Chinese nation and flow in the blood of the Chinese people.In 2022,the Ministry of Education promulgated the latest Compulsory History Curriculum Standards,which introduced five core qualities of history discipline into its curriculum objectives,one of which is the feeling of home and country.It is the responsibility and pursuit of history teachers to cultivate students’ feelings of home and country.Kaifeng,as a famous historical and cultural city,has profound cultural deposits and outstanding resource advantages for the cultivation of home-country feelings.As the embodiment and clarity of "emotion,attitude and values",it is particularly important in the key period of the formation of values in junior high school.Therefore,in view of the current situation of the cultivation of national feelings in the history teaching of junior middle schools in Kaifeng City,this paper conducted a survey on junior middle school students and history teachers through the combination of questionnaire and interview,and found that there are still some deficiencies in the cultivation of national feelings.For example,teachers emphasize knowledge learning in the process of cultivating students’ national feelings,and to a certain extent,they fail to internalize their national feelings.The cultivation materials need to be expanded and the utilization of local resources is insufficient.The teaching method is mainly irrigation teaching,and the innovation is insufficient.The evaluation method is more traditional,the effect is limited,and the students have a little weak understanding of the connotation of the feelings of home and country,and the feelings of home and country are internalized in the mind and externalized in the practice.According to the problems and causes found in the survey,teachers can strengthen their own national feelings,implement the concept of national feelings in teaching,innovate teaching methods,and give full play to the advantages of Kaifeng’s local history on the basis of analyzing the content of textbooks to improve the effect of national feelings in history teaching.By taking students’ performance evaluation as the starting point,multi-subject participation,combined with other evaluation methods,to improve the evaluation effect of family and national feelings;Through the analysis of students’ psychological characteristics,to stimulate students’ self-cultivation awareness of national feelings,to provide guidance on national feelings self-education,to help students implement the practice of national feelings.Finally,based on the countermeasure research,combined with Kaifeng local history,the design of in-class teaching practice and extracurricular practice activities is carried out.
