| Objectives Therefore,this study is an empirical study based on the "FIFA 11Health" soccer curriculum intervention framework with primary school students aged8 to 10 years old in China,with the aim of testing the effects of this intervention framework on the physical fitness development of Chinese adolescents and providing theoretical references for the health promotion of Chinese adolescents.METHODS: This study used a quasi-experimental design in which two fourth grade classes of South Station Primary School in xx City were selected and randomly divided into an experimental group(“FIFA 11 Health” soccer course group)and a control group(traditional physical education course group),and the intervention was conducted for 12 weeks.Body shape(weight,BMI)and fitness indicators(flexibility,coordination,agility,speed,muscle strength and cardiorespiratory fitness)of all subjects were measured before and after the intervention.Results:(1)Both experimental and control groups significantly reduced body weight and BMI before and after the intervention(p<0.05),but the intervention group improved better than the control group(p<0.05);(2)The experimental group significantly improved subjects’ sitting forward bending index after the intervention(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05),and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in the comparison between groups(p<0.05)(p<0.05);(3)The experimental group significantly improved the index of standing on one foot with eyes closed after the intervention(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05),and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in the intergroup comparison(p<0.05);(4)The experimental group significantly improved the index of longitudinal jumping and touching height of the subjects after the intervention(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05),and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in the intergroup comparison(p<0.05).(4)The experimental group significantly improved the index of 30 m sprint run of the subjects after the intervention(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05),and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in the comparison between groups(p<0.05);(6)The experimental group significantly improved the index of 30 m sprint run of the subjects after the intervention(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05).significantly improved the index of T-fold running of the subjects(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05),and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in the intergroup comparison(p<0.05);(7)the index of VO2 max of the subjects was significantly improved in the experimental group after the intervention(p<0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group before and after the intervention(p>0.05),and The comparison between groups was significantly better in the experimental group than in the control group(p<0.05).Conclusion: Both the FIFA 11 Health and traditional physical education programs improved the physical form of 8 to 10 year old elementary school students,but the former was more effective and only the FIFA 11 Health program improved the physical fitness index of 8 to 10 year old elementary school students. |
