With the advent of the era of globalization,the exchange and integration of various cultures has become more and more common.Based on the idioms related to Chinese clothing culture,combined with the learning needs and aesthetic styles of Thai high school students,this paper designs and compiles Chinese picture books with cultural connotations and unique artistic aesthetics.These picture books are not only suitable for Thai students to learn,but also have been successful as a teaching resource integrated into classroom teaching.Practice has proved that the sample lessons created by the author have received positive feedback from students and achieved the expected teaching effect.This paper includes seven core parts.The first chapter expounds the purpose,significance and method of this research in detail.Secondly,it sorts out the research status quo of teaching Chinese idioms as a foreign language and Chinese second language picture books.Research has rarely been involved.The second chapter expands the cultural connotation of idioms related to clothing culture from the three aspects of "head,clothes and feet",and explains the basis for selecting idioms stories into picture books.The third chapter investigates Thai primary and middle school students’ understanding and interest in idioms related to clothing culture,and analyzes the results of the investigation.The fourth chapter explains the macro direction of picture book writing and design from the perspective of the applicable objects of picture books and the principles of picture book writing.The fifth chapter introduces the design and arrangement of the specific content of the picture book story in detail,including the writing style of the picture book,the rewriting of the text,the writing of new words and notes,the writing of exercises,and suggestions for teaching.The sixth chapter analyzes and explains the teaching implementation effect of the picture book sample class and the suggestion for the use of picture books according to the results of the questionnaire survey and the specific classroom teaching practice.The seventh chapter is the conclusion part of this article,which summarizes the full text and explains the limitations of the study,so as to provide reference for the future compilation and creation of Chinese second language picture books.
