The cultivation of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education is one of the important ways to deliver high-level innovative practical talents to the society.However,studies have shown that the current innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education is obviously insufficient.How to improve the level of innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education has become a problem that needs to be solved urgently.An in-depth study on innovation ability can help to explore the influencing factors of innovation ability and its internal influence mechanism.Based on it,the corresponding strategies are formulated,so as to improve the innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education.In this study,taking learning engagement as the starting point,the methods of literature,questionnaire and mathematical statistics were adopted to explore the influence mechanism of professional identity on the innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education.The basic characteristics of professional identity,learning engagement and innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education were revealed,and the relationship mechanism of the three was explored.The following conclusions were drawn.(1)The professional identity of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education was at a high level of identity.The difference in interdisciplinary characteristics was that the professional identity of non-interdisciplinary students was significantly higher than that of interdisciplinary students.The difference in grade characteristics was that the professional cognition of three-year students was significantly higher than that of first-year students.The difference in professional characteristics was that the professional emotion of students majoring in physical education and physical education training was significantly higher than that of students majoring in social sports guidance.There was no significant difference in professional identity in terms of gender.(2)The innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education was at the medium to upper level.The difference in profession characteristics was that the innovation ability of students majoring in physical education training was significantly higher than that of students majoring in physical education.There was no significant difference in innovation ability in terms of gender,grade and interdisciplinary characteristics.(3)Learning engagement of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education is in the medium to upper level.The difference in interdisciplinary characteristics was that learning engagement of non-interdisciplinary students was significantly higher than that of interdisciplinary students.The difference in profession characteristics was that learning engagement of students majoring in physical education was significantly higher than that of students majoring in physical education training and social sports guidance.There was no significant difference in learning engagement in terms of gender and grade.(4)Professional identity,learning engagement and innovation ability of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education were correlated with each other,and professional identity could positively predict innovation ability and learning engagement,and learning engagement could positively predict innovation ability.(5)Professional identity of postgraduates with Professional Master’s Degree in Physical Education could both directly influence innovation ability and had an impact on innovation ability through the mediating effect of learning engagement.
