In 2014,the promulgation of the Ministry of Education ’s " Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Tasks of Lideshuren " marked the beginning of the new stage of China ’s basic education curriculum reform focusing on cultivating students ’ key competences.Key Competences emphasizes the cultivation of students ’ quality of using knowledge to solve practical problems in complex situations.In practice,the practical need to implement the cultivation of students ’ key competences and promote the implementation of the new curriculum reform goals also puts forward corresponding new requirements for the teaching of primary and secondary school teachers.As the reserve force of new teachers in the field of basic education,normal students trained by normal universities(hereinafter referred to as " normal universities ")need to understand the basic concepts of the new curriculum reform through the study of public pedagogy courses and change teaching concepts and teaching behaviors in time to meet the new requirements of the new curriculum reform,so as to truly implement the cultivation of key competences when entering the first-line teaching in the future.The study is divided into five parts :The first part introduces the origin of the research from three aspects : policy,theory and practice.It reviews the existing research situation from two dimensions : internal and external.It defines the core concepts of new curriculum reform,normal universities and public pedagogy courses,and determines the research ideas and methods.The second part analyzes the basic concepts of the new curriculum reform based on relevant policy texts and expert interpretation.It is found that the basic concepts of the new curriculum reform in China since 2014 point to the cultivation of key competences in value orientation,curriculum content,education process and evaluation methods.The teaching of primary and secondary school teachers puts forward the transformation requirements of the two dimensions of key competences-oriented teaching concepts and teaching behaviors,which also poses challenges to the cultivation of new teachers in normal universities.The third part designs and implements the scheme of questionnaire survey and classroom observation.Through the pre-questionnaire survey and participatory classroom observation,the current situation of public pedagogy teaching in normal universities is investigated and collected,and preliminary data analysis is carried out.The fourth part analyzes the problems existing in the teaching of public pedagogy courses in normal universities based on the results of quantitative data and interview surveys.It is found that the public pedagogy courses in normal universities as new teachers are facing difficulties in teaching content and teaching implementation,and there is a big gap with the requirements of training new teachers to adapt to the new curriculum reform.The fifth part provides solutions to the teaching improvement of public pedagogy courses in normal universities to adapt to the new curriculum reform.In order to adapt to the new curriculum reform,the teaching improvement of public pedagogy course in normal universities needs to implement literacy-oriented teaching,update teaching content,improve teachers ’ quality,and cooperate with the adjustment of school management.
