The teachers are the main part of education in the implementation process, and a key factor for determining success or failure of educational reform. The new basic education curriculum reform in China in the21st century is the most important education reform initiatives. It requires changes in curriculum structure, also requires teachers personnel to adapt to the demands for reform and development. It not only brings forward the teachers engaged in basic education to the new requirements, but also raises the main base for training of resources of teachers-teacher education in higher normal universities to new demands for reform and development direction. The fundamental task of the teacher education in higher normal universities is to deliver high-quality teachers professionals for basic education. In the context of the new curriculum reform, training new teachers who are tailored to the needs of basic education in China has become the primary goal of teacher education and reform directions. The new basic education curriculum reform should be an opportunity for the development of teacher education in higher normal universities. It should strengthen the connection between higher normal universities and basic education, and highlight the school characteristics of the normal universities, and improve teacher education transformation and realize developments of higher normal universities.In the basic education curriculum, Chinese is the fundamental subject for the overall development and lifelong development of students, also a prerequisite to learn other subjects. It takes an irreplaceable role. Chinese language curriculum standard of Compulsory education (2011) and Chinese language curriculum standard of senior high school (test) which were promulgated by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China proposed a series of innovations in the new context of curriculum reform, which raise the new requirements to Chinese teachers of the middle school and new challenges to Chinese teacher education of middle school in higher normal universities. Chinese language and literature teaching specialty in higher normal universities must take timely reforms and innovations in order to meet the requirements of the basic education curriculum reform and development trends and direction of the higher normal universities. So, the study on middle school Chinese teacher education in higher normal universities is of momentous academic and current significance.Teacher education in higher normal universities involves the pre-service education, and on-the-job education too, and the pre-service education is key stage on the cultivation of professional teacher accomplishments and can be prerequisite and foundation of on-the-job education. Thus the study object of this thesis is middle school Chinese teacher pre-service education in higher normal universities. There are three main parts in the thesis:The first part discusses new requisitions of middle school Chinese language curriculum reform to our teachers. Firstly, from curriculum idea, curriculum structure, curriculum objective, curriculum enforcement, curriculum evaluation, this thesis analyses the innovation of. Then, this part researches into new requisitions of new curriculum reform to accomplishment of Chinese language teacher from knowledge accomplishment, competence accomplishment, moral accomplishment.The second part expatiates on problems exiting in middle school teacher pre-service education of higher normal universities, including irrationality of curriculum setting, weakening of higher normal universities' characteristic, scarcity of normal consciousness, formalization of education practice, disjointed connection between teacher pre-service education and basic education. This part also points out the necessity of middle school teacher pre-service education reformation.The third part puts forward reform measures of middle school Chinese language teacher pre-service education in higher normal universities. This part discusses the methods and measures mainly from reforming ideas, optimizing curriculum setting and teaching contents, consummating practice course of middle school Chinese language teacher pre-service education.
