Curriculum is an important carrier of education’s impact on people and the most fundamental unit in talent cultivation in schools.The vocational characteristics of higher vocational education determine that its focus is on practical aspects,with the cultivation of technical practical abilities as the main line.Vocational education practice courses are an educational experience system that emphasizes the integrity of professional practice activities,focusing on the cultivation of students’ professional practice attitudes,knowledge,and abilities.Practical course evaluation plays an important role in guiding,supervising,regulating,and evaluating curriculum design and implementation.It is a necessary link in curriculum construction and a driving force for curriculum reflection and reform.Therefore,the basic purpose of this study is to understand the current situation of practical course evaluation in vocational schools,clarify the problems in current practical course evaluation,identify problem-solving strategies,and achieve systematic and systematic course evaluation.This study follows the following research approach: sorting out literature and grasping the progress of problem research;Theoretical analysis to demonstrate the types and characteristics of vocational practical course evaluation;Conduct practical investigations to clarify the practical problems in the evaluation of vocational practical courses;Propose strategies to build a practical system for evaluating vocational practical courses.Firstly,through literature review on the related topics of vocational education curriculum evaluation,it was found that there is currently less research on vocational education curriculum evaluation in terms of research content,and more attention is paid to general education,especially basic education;In terms of research perspective,vocational education curriculum evaluation often focuses on issues of localization and fragmentation;In terms of research methods,most of them still focus on theoretical speculative research and empirical summary research,with less research on empirical and hypothesis validation.Secondly,based on literature research and current investigation,the types and characteristics of vocational practical courses are summarized,including dual orientation of course value,career orientation of course objectives,dynamic updating of course content,action orientation of course implementation,and multi-dimensional comprehensiveness of course effectiveness.These characteristics determine the types and characteristics of practical course evaluation in higher vocational education,including the diversity and complexity of course evaluation subjects,the contextual nature of course evaluation content,and the combination of "quality" and "quantity" of course evaluation methods.After clarifying the types and characteristics of vocational practical course evaluation,this study found out through methods such as questionnaire survey,interview survey,and observation that there are still the following problems in the current vocational practical course evaluation: the concept of course evaluation is lagging behind,and the evaluation is still based on management and discrimination;The subject of curriculum evaluation is single,mainly consisting of school curriculum managers and teachers;Narrowing the content of curriculum evaluation,neglecting the integrity of the evaluation process and the overall quality of students;The curriculum evaluation method is inefficient,and quantitative summative evaluation is difficult to effectively promote the development of the curriculum and students;The curriculum evaluation system is missing,and there is no reasonable curriculum evaluation system yet,and there is a lack of effective feedback between various evaluation stages.The reasons for the above problems were analyzed in three main aspects,namely the constraints of centralized management and evaluation systems,the enormous economic and material costs and time and energy costs of implementing ideal evaluation concepts,and the deep-seated impact of the long-term formation of exam culture and management culture on the solidification of values and behavior.Finally,based on the summary of the above research,optimization strategies were proposed and a practical system for evaluating vocational practical courses was constructed.Regarding optimization strategies,it is necessary to clarify the developmental evaluation concept centered around students;Establishing a systematic evaluation mindset and constructing an evaluation system;Ensure diversified evaluation subjects in this process,so that they can negotiate and construct together;And pay attention to selecting scientific evaluation methods,combining qualitative and quantitative methods.Regarding the practical system,based on the combination of relevant theories,a systematic and comprehensive evaluation practice system with feedback regulation function has been constructed,with curriculum design and development evaluation,curriculum implementation evaluation,and curriculum effectiveness evaluation as the main links.
