In recent years,China has vigorously advocated the development of rural education,but rural areas are unable to attract and retain excellent teachers effectively due to backward economic conditions and lack of infrastructure construction,and rural teachers’ professional identity is low.How to improve the vocational incentives for rural teachers and effectively improve the professional identity of rural teachers remains to be further explored.Based on ERG theory and relevant literature on professional identity,this paper measures the influence of teachers’ professional identity from three aspects of survival needs,mutual relationship needs and growth and development needs,and builds a model of rural teachers’ professional identity and its influencing factors.Through questionnaire survey and statistical analysis,the influence of various factors on teachers’ professional identity is tested.The statistical analysis of the survey data draws the following conclusions: Is a rural teacher "existence","the relationship between the demand" and "growth needs" has been good to meet,especially the survival needs of the traffic subsidies,housing subsidies,the relationship between the demand of the rural teacher’s social status and developmental needs of "position and rank promotion",etc.Second,the professional identity of rural teachers is low,among which the evaluation scores of professional values,professional belonging and professional efficacy are not high.Thirdly,the satisfaction of rural teachers’ "survival needs","mutual relations" and "growth and development" will have a significant impact on rural teachers’ "professional identity" and its various dimensions.Finally from meet the demand of survival,the relationship between the demand and growth development needs three aspects put forward countermeasures and Suggestions:improvement of the rural teachers’ professional identity through the establishment of reasonable salary incentive system,implement reasonable bonus allocation,establishing differentiated motivation system,etc.,to better meet the rural teacher "survival needs";By returning to the teacher standard to improve the professional authority of teachers,improve the communication mechanism between school,family and teachers,strengthen the responsibility to enhance the sense of belonging of rural teachers,improve the social status of teachers and other aspects,to meet the mutual relationship needs of rural teachers;By improving the rural teacher training management,improving the honor system to enhance the incentive effect,improving the teacher assessment to broaden the promotion channels,to better meet the needs of rural teachers for growth and development.To sum up,a sound teacher incentive mechanism should be established to promote the effective improvement of teachers’ professional identity.
