University stage is a critical period of personal physical and mental growth and maturity,which plays a crucial role in the development of the next stage of life.With the diversification of social values,the complexity of interpersonal relations,the serious employment pressure and the fierce social competition,especially in the post-epidemic era,college students appear different degrees of anxiety,pressure,depression and other psychological problems.The psychological state of college students itself is characterized by vulnerability and individual values.In recent years,the continuous novel coronavirus pneumonia(COVID-19)has had a huge impact on their study and life.Some college students lose confidence in life,feel distressed and bored,and thus lack of happiness.Studies have shown that yoga can promote physical and mental health,improve anxiety,improve physical self-esteem,and enhance subjective well-being.However,in the post-epidemic era,how yoga affects college students’ comprehensive well-being under the role of promoting physical and mental health has not yet been clarified in course design and quantitative and qualitative research methods.In view of this,this study adopted a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to creatively design yoga themed courses.135 female college students who met the standards were included and divided into comprehensive yoga group(46students),asana yoga group(43 students)and control group(46 students).Comprehensive yoga group: innovatively arranged 10 weeks of yoga courses,with15-20 minutes of themed meditation before each class.Integrate into the form of two-person yoga practice,at least 4 times a week after class yoga meditation,10 minutes or more each time,and write down the meditation feelings.After 10 weeks of yoga intervention,combined with nine factors of comprehensive happiness,semi-structured interviews were conducted on the comprehensive yoga group,the meditation log was recovered,the interview content and meditation log were sorted out,and the qualitative analysis was conducted using Nvivo12.Asana yoga group:Yoga asanas were selected from the asana library.The asanas were all single-person Hatha yoga without theme arrangement and independent meditation after class.Control group: No intervention.Before and after the 10-week intervention experiment,the three groups were respectively filled in the comprehensive well-being scale(MHQ),and SPSS22.0 was used to analyze the scale data of the three groups.The results showed as follows: compared with the asana yoga group and the control group,the comprehensive well-being score of the integrated yoga group increased significantly after the intervention(219.03±43.76 vs.167.56±41.38 vs.164.67±36.11,p<0.001);Comprehensive yoga group before and after intervention,comprehensive happiness score showed a significant difference(162.16±38.85 vs.219.03±43.76,p<0.0001);The analysis results of yoga meditation log show that comprehensive yoga can improve most factors of comprehensive happiness,such as improving positive emotion,reducing negative emotion,personality growth,life satisfaction,etc.After the 10-week yoga intervention,the qualitative analysis of the interviews showed that the combination of yoga asana practice and meditation could improve the nine factors of comprehensive happiness.Through the analysis and discussion of the above results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)According to the data of the three groups of subjects in the comprehensive happiness scale,yoga can effectively improve the comprehensive happiness of female college students in the post-epidemic era.(2)Through qualitative analysis of meditation logs and interviews of the comprehensive yoga group,it can be seen that yoga meditation can more effectively improve the positive emotion,personality growth,life satisfaction,self-worth,life vitality,health concern and relieve negative emotion in the comprehensive happiness.Yoga poses can improve health concern,friendly relationship,altruistic behavior and positive emotion.(3)Based on the theme of the combination of asanas effect and comprehensive happiness,the way and method of yoga practice should be innovated in the course design,attention should be paid to the diversity of teaching methods,and students’ subjective initiative should be brought into play,which can improve the comprehensive happiness of college students from many aspects.
