County education is the background of education in China.However,in recent years,the problem of subsidence in the county has intensified and attracted widespread attention.One of the important manifestations of the collapse in the county is the loss of excellent teachers.There have been many studies on the loss of teachers in county high schools.These studies have carried out extensive research on the situation,causes and countermeasures of the loss of teachers in counties.However,they are more concerned about the objective reasons for the loss of teachers,such as income,treatment,etc.The subjective aspects of the loss of teachers,such as teachers ’ professional happiness,are not paid enough attention and the research is not deep enough.Based on a large-scale survey of ordinary high school teachers in counties in eastern and northwestern Guangdong,this paper studies their occupational well-being through questionnaire survey,trying to explore whether occupational well-being as an intermediary variable affects the occupational mobility intention of teachers in counties,and tries to put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions to improve the occupational well-being of teachers in counties and promote teachers ’ peace of mind.The main findings are as follows :(1)The overall level of occupational well-being of middle school teachers in the surveyed counties is not high.The specific performance is : selfefficacy is strong,work engagement is high,but self-identity is in the middle and upper level,career recognition is low;(2)The turnover intention of middle school teachers in the surveyed counties is close to 23 %,accounting for more than one fifth of the total sample size,and the loss situation is still severe;(3)There is a significant negative correlation between the occupational well-being of middle school teachers in the surveyed counties and the willingness to flow,and there is a pairwise correlation between all variables;(4)The occupational well-being of teachers in the county has a strong partial mediating effect,which can be used as an intermediary between the independent variables(job burnout,school environment,job stress,job satisfaction)and the dependent variable(mobility intention).On the basis of this,the countermeasures and suggestions are as follows :(1)reduce the job burnout of teachers in the county and improve the professional happiness of teachers;(2)Improve the school environment to enhance teachers ’ professional well-being;(3)Improve teachers ’ job satisfaction to enhance teachers ’ professional well-being.
