| This study mainly investigated the overall development of teaching Mingjiuqin(a new Chinese four-stringed musical instrument)in class in R Middle School in Jinniu District of Chengdu.As one of the first Mingjiuqin demonstration schools,R Middle School vigorously develops the course of Mingjiuqin to meet the requirement of disseminating excellent traditional Chinese culture on campus in this era,which plays a role in leading and guiding the teaching of musical instruments in class in other schools.After an investigation of the status quo,the author summarized and analyzed outstanding achievements of the school in teaching Mingjiuqin in class and existing problems in the development of the course,and gave some suggestions to other schools,so as to provide references for other schools and facilitate better inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture by the teaching of musical instruments in class.As a Pipa performance major during undergraduate study,the author has a certain professional expertise in the influence of the structure of plucked stringed instruments on tones and the application of basic performance techniques for plucked stringed instruments.This paper is innovative as the author analyzed and discussed the degree of difficulty in techniques for playing Mingjiuqin and the richness of tones in its performance,and tried to integrate performance techniques for traditional Chinese plucked stringed instruments into the performance of Mingjiuqin.This paper involved not only interviews with and surveys of students,teachers,parents,school leaders,experts and scholars,but also field surveys of Mingjiuqin manufacturers.Current advantages and disadvantages of Mingjiuqin in structure were analyzed,and then its design was optimized preliminarily.This paper is divided into four chapters,to investigate and analyze the status quo of teaching Mingjiuqin in class in the junior department of R Middle School in Chengdu by means of questionnaire surveys,interviews and observation in class.Introduction describes the research background,research significance,existing research at home and abroad and features and trends of development.Chapter 1 contains definitions of important concepts,basic theories,a summary of existing achievements of R Middle School in Jinniu District of Chengdu in teaching musical instruments in class,and an analysis of the feasibility and significance of introducing Mingjiuqin in class.In Chapter 2,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the current development of teaching Mingjiuqin in class in this school,and students,music teachers,leaders and professionals were interviewed,to learn about the attitude and opinions of different groups with regard to the teaching of Mingjiuqin in class.In addition,observation in class was carried out and the LICC model was employed for analysis.In Chapter 3,based on survey results from the above chapter,an analysis was made to reveal advantages in teaching Mingjiuqin in class in R Middle School in Jinniu District of Chengdu and problems in its implementation,and strategies for improvement were discussed.Chapter 4 records communication and discussion between the author and Mingjiuqin manufacturers,an analysis of problems brought by the current structure of Mingjiuqin in performances,and an attempt to optimize its structure on this basis.Moreover,advantages and disadvantages of existing performance techniques were analyzed and combined experimentally with those of traditional plucked stringed instruments.At the end of this chapter,opinions and suggestions were presented for the better development of Mingjiuqin in the future. |
