With the promulgation of the "Junior High School History Curriculum Standard(2022 Edition)",in order to better promote the implementation of core literacy,the new curriculum standard proposes unit teaching in teaching methods.Therefore,this study selects Unit 6,"The Chinese Nation’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression," a unified edition of the history textbook for junior high school students in Grade 8(Volume 1),for unit teaching design and classroom teaching.The author hopes to proceed from theory,conduct classroom teaching practice,and further improve the theory to further promote the development of unit teaching in junior high school history.It is also conducive to improving classroom efficiency and teachers’ professional literacy during pre class preparation and classroom teaching.This study mainly adopts the methods of literature research,case analysis,and investigation.Firstly,the relevant literature on core literacy and unit teaching design is reviewed,collected,collated,and analyzed to extract previous research experience,and further summarized as a theoretical basis.Analyze the concepts related to core literacy,unit design,and the need for overall research.Secondly,the overall unit teaching design for Unit 6,"The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression of the Chinese Nation",is carried out around historical core literacy,integrating relevant content of the textbook,refining the teaching theme from a holistic perspective,and building a unit framework based on core literacy to determine teaching objectives,initially forming a holistic context.Thirdly,investigate the learning situation of students,determine the key and difficult points of teaching,select appropriate teaching methods to complete the design of teaching activities,and carry out unit teaching evaluation after the end of class hours.Finally,the author conducted interviews and related questionnaires with some teachers and students in the internship school to summarize their evaluation of the design and implementation of this unit teaching,reflect on the issues arising from the relevant practice of this study,and propose some teaching suggestions.Finally,the author hopes to provide experience for the teaching practice of front-line teachers.
