Under the background of the “ Triple Play Convergence ”,HINOC(HIgh performance Network Over Coax)is an efficient access network technology to realize the duplex access using the existing coax cable networks.Currently,HINOC1.0protocol,with a 100 Mbps through Put,has been officially released and the HINOC1.0equipment is on the marketing stage.What’s more,the design of HINOC2.0 with a1 Gbps through Put has already begun.In this paper,we focus on the work of building a HINOC2.0 MAC protocol simulation platform in order to verify and estimate the protocol’s mechanism and performance.Firstly,the HINOC2.0 MAC protocol is analyzed.Secondly,based on this analysis,the overall structure of the protocol simulation platform is built and the program of the simulation platform is developed.The main mechanisms of HINOC2.0MAC protocol are simulated.The design idea and function of each module in this platform are described in detail.Finally,based on this platform,the through Put,latency,jitter and queue length of the HINOC2.0 MAC protocol is tested to verify that the HINOC2.0 MAC protocol has achieved the design goals.This work provides a basis for the further improvement of the protocol.
